List of Canceled Shows that never got a real ending

Now that Earl has pretty much been canceled, with a cliffhanger ending no less, it got me thinking about other shows that have been canceled with little to no ending.

1) Gary & Mike

The final episode of Gary & Mike ends with the titular duo driving off an unfinished overpass with a ton of cops chasing them. They hold hands Thelma & Louise style and the screen freeze frames with them in midair and the words "To Be Continued" appear on the screen.

2) Invader Zim

This was one of the funniest cartoons ever.

3) Undergrads

This show had an okay final episode, but they totally set up the story to continue "next semester".

4) Brisco County Jr.

This show had so much going for it.

5) Jack of All Trades

Okay, admittedly not the best show, but as far as Bruce Campbell one-liners went, this show was great.

Those are just a few that I have thought of. Please feel free to add to the list or discuss the shows already listed.

Dont know if anyone else mentioned it, but that show 'Surface', was awesome, great ratings but horrible wide open series end.

and Kyle XY

Point Pleasant on Fox never really got a real ending. Only 9 of 13 episodes aired. The unaired episodes were on the DVD. The the 13th episode is really good but was pretty open.

Heroes - it was cancelled.

Season 04 had little to do with the previous seasons or say, original characters, they brought tons of new ones with special characters, ugh.. They could've used season 04 to wrap it all up but no, they decided to make it longer and there you go, they've cancelled it.

A 2 hour episode can probably wrap it all up, I hope they'll do this at least for the fans.

Jeremiah and Odyssey 5. Both awesome shows. Showtime sucks.

Las Vegas

It ended with Cooper (who we thought was dead) walking into his memorial service while a pregnant Delinda started bleeding from her vagina making you think there might be issues with the baby.

It was the first half of the big 100th episode thing, never showed the second half... It was a good show too.

Any show that was ever on TGIF, Family Matters moved it CBS briefly but never went anywhere. Step by Step, any of the ones at the 9:00 or 9:30 time slots (most not even lasting a year)

Any show that had characters or actors from a very successful show (with a few exceptions like Frasier):

The George Wendt Show
Becker (not sure if it really got a finale)
Veronica's Closet (haha, no comment)
Made in America (not really a way to end a realty type show, but I was sad it was canceled, I liked seeing how everything was made and John made it interesting)

The Micheal Richards Show
Bob Patterson
Listen Up
Watching Ellie
I think New Adventures of Old Christine just got the boot?

Joey
Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip
Dirt
The Comeback (if Lisa Kudrow didnt speak with a stupid accent it would have been more watchable)

Did Ellen really get a finale? Seems like it got the boot after the lesbian episode.

Sports Night

I am really more upset when a drama or action show gets canceled opposed to a sitcom. Granted, most of the sitcoms listed didn't last more than a couple episodes anyway, and some weren't all that great.

There are a lot of shows I never watched when they were on the air, then see the DVD's come out and think about getting them. Problem is, if they dont have a finale, it is like watching a good movie with the last half hour missing. No one is going to watch that movie! And I am not going to shell out $50 for the entire series if it goes nowhere.

I feel the X files never got a real ending. Truly, I would have preferred the season 8 finale.

This is the place where I'd be sucked straight to Hell- if I believed in Hell.

Haunted with Matt Fox.

Lost in Space
Did poor Dr. Smith ever see his dream come true and return to Earth? I read they were finally going to make a TV movie but Jonathan Harris died.

Trade Winds
A 4 part mini-series. NBC chose not to air the final part even though it solved a who done it murder mystery. I had to buy the DVD released 11 years later to find out who the killer was.

Veronica Mars- cancelled before it's time. A great show w/ great storylines and acting.

Half & Half- we don't know if mona chose lorenzo or chase.

suburbia- did the two teens end up together?

Deadwood (HBO) for me. Always will be bummed that even the movie never saw the light of day. Still love watching the Earl reruns....

Dirt - In it's first season, the show was a fun guilty pleasure, but the masterminds at FX made them lighten the show up during the second season. The writers strike and lackluster ratings were the final nail in the coffin, which left us with a lackluster finale.

How about "Yes, Dear" (6 seasons) and "According to Jim" (8 seasons)
Since I never saw the last eps of either of them, did they get a proper farewell?
