Funny British TV series besides 'The IT Crowd'?

This show is so funny and brilliant! I thinks it's one of the funniest British TV series I've ever seen.
Hopefully there'll be a season 5!
Do you know anymore funny TV series? (I think "Black Books" is quite funny too, and of course the "Mr. Bean".)

reply

I second Spaced. Probably my favorite comedy ever.

reply

"Spaced" !! Hands down, the funniest show. Then I would say "Father Ted" and "Fawlty Towers"

reply

Has no one mentioned I'm Alan Partridge? Specifically the one where he lives in the cheap motel. I think the creator of IT Crowd was in one of the episodes. Also, there's another one called The Thick of It.

reply

Definately SPACED the episode where they go camden, get their weed robbed and have the fake gun fight is possibly the best episode of any tv show ever

reply

Since no-one's mentioned them yet, I would add:
Chef! (Lenny Henry)
Dinnerladies
Hyperdrive (Nick Frost)
Hippies (Simon Pegg)
Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps
Annually Retentive (Rob Brydon)
Not Going Out (Lee Mack)
That Mitchell and Webb Look
Men Behaving Badly
Doc Martin (dramedy, also starring Martin Clunes)
and if you'd like to venture into something other than sitcoms, I highly recommend the panel game shows like:
Never Mind the Buzzcocks
QI (hosted by Stepehn Fry with Alan Davis as a regular)
and
Mock the Week

reply

Hah. Yeah, no-one's mentioned any of those because they're all a bit weak. Except Mitchell and Webb, and that's pretty patchy.

reply

I love a lot of those shows, including Men Behaving Badly. And the first season of Two Pints always makes me laugh. Doc Martin is funny, too, but not in the same way. I agree - a dramedy. Also has the girl from IT Crowd.

reply

...and don't forget Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights. Ranks up there with Spaced & The IT Crowd.

reply

Garth Marenghi's Dark Place and The League of Gentlemen!

reply

Peep Show is a classic, Mark is a perfect example of the repressed British male.

reply

As Undergraduate student of IT, i enjoy this show crazy, i laughed my ass off..
and the funny thing is, when i started studying IT, i discovered this TV show.

reply

Green Wing!!!!

reply

Hmmm...let me think here...

reply

The Office
Peep Show
Fawlty Towers
Only Fools and Horses.

First four that come into my head.

I'd avoid Father Ted, it's pretty *beep*

ALSO:

Inbetweeners and How not to live your life.

reply

I'd hugely recommend The Office btw, it's probably the greatest sitcom of all time.

Also, Im Alan Partidge is good too.

reply

Absolutely Fabulous.
