Ask him to speak the language of Jesus.

He could say he hadn't spoken it for more than a thousand years and so can only remember a few words... I can confirm mastery of foreign languages quickly dwindles when you don't speak that language regularly.

True, but that probably wouldn't impress his scholar friends, some of them religions historians and linguists I think.

Which one? Aramaic or Hebrew. The former is similar to Arabic and have common words, the latter is still in use.

Hebrew was a dead language in the 1st century, used only in religious contexts. The language of Jesus was Aramaic.

Jesus did not know the Hebrew bible? Some say he was a Rabbi.

The rabbis knew Hebrew of course. Jesus was a carpenter! But the common language was Aramaic.

Modern day Israel revived Hebrew as a common language. Ashkenazi Jews in Europe spoke Yiddish, not Hebrew.

well , if any of those friends were scholarly enough to know if he was doing it right , then that proves you don't need to be immortal to do that
