Name One Movie That Has a #5 Girl Get a Guy Who’s a #10?

Just asking. I think in Hollywood that would be considered Science Fiction. SWAMP THING does not count.

reply

Nope. Usually the girl has to take off her glasses and take out her ponytail. Then she can get the "10-guy"

Of course, tastes differ, but I'd say "Roadhouse" and "Mask" qualify (in my opinion, Cher and Kelly Lynch are both a "5" compared to Sam Elliot and Patrick Swayze's 10-guy status)

My first thought at thread title - Sixteen Candles...

Only demons should fear me...
You're not a demon, are you?

reply

(Dare I name it?) Twilight
Nah, I think they are about the same in looks.

My karma ran over your dogma.

reply

No way. He's def. a 9-10 and she's like a 4 with greasy hair.

reply

Have you seen Eclipse? There were moments there when she looked really beautiful. There wasn't a single moment where he looked good.

And from real-life pics the two of them look to be entirely in the same league, to me.

reply

I disagree, Robert is a handsome man who doesn't need a lot of makeup. That girl is very plain.

reply

She can look both average and beautiful.

reply

I disagree. The only time I have found her to look beautiful is when she is airbrushed a lot.

Feed me a stray cat.

reply

Heh, well, so does Rob.

Have you seen what he looks like in real life?

reply

Yes, and I find him perfectly attractive, although often shabby.

Feed me a stray cat.

reply

I think he looks beautiful sometimes, from some angles, but he has a concave face. He is just lucky to be photogenic.

reply

Other then when he's playing Fairy McSparclesalot

I bet you looked at this

reply

He looked passable in Twilight, but much worse in New Moon, and still worse in Eclipse.

Also, he is not aging well.

reply

I thought he looked really attractive in Water for Elephants. It's all in the hair cut (and skin tone), I think.

I bet you looked at this

reply

What???

Kristen Stewart is a babe. I've thought she was a babe ever since I her earliest movies. True her face has gone downhill a bit, due to age, but that's to be expected. (Beauty fades.) I'd still rate her a 9... formerly a 10.

reply

Due to age? You realize you were writing this at the time when she was 21, right?

reply

Regardless of your personal opinion of the actors, the story presents him as being the hottest guy on the planet, and her as an average looking girl.

reply

I don't understand why the intent of the story matters?? Have you never seen people being miscast?

reply

...I know a lost cause when I see one. I'm not even going to bother trying to discuss this with you. Good day.

There was a string of movies in the 90's where supposedly unattractive girls make changes to win the hot guy too.

reply

There was no romance in Spirited Away. She cared about him but it was not romantic. She was a kid.

reply

I disagree with you. It was meant to be a love story about 2 children who encountered each other very early on in their lives, then were reunited again by fate.

I wouldn't call it a "romance" story though. Love stories don't necessarily have to be romantic movies or have "romantic" scenes, especially if it involves childhood love.

THE TRUTH ABOUT CATS AND DOGS. Abby is a 5-ish and she has "Noelle" (a Hard 10) pretend to be her (Abby) to impress Brian (10-ish) who is smitten by Noelle, not knowing that he is really in love with Abby 5.

5s who want 10s suffer from Cyrano de Bergerac syndrome.

reply

I agree 5 woman...10 dude.....I think Jeaneen *sp* Garafalo is cute tho... is a little more than a 5 in my book.

Dirty Dancing!

Patrick was dating a "baby".

Spiderman

Circle of Friends
Dogfight, one of my favorites

reply

This is easy.

Not Another Teen Movie
The Princess Diaries
Strictly Ballroom

reply

I have never seen Strictly Ballroom but in Not Another Teen Movie (as well as She's all that) and the Princess Diaries, they had to transform into hot babes before they could get the guy

reply

I'm pretty sure that's still #5 guy getting #10 girl. Even if you count Peter as a 10 after getting his powers, there's still no reason why MJ would suddently become a #5.

reply

Big Fat Greek Wedding.

He's taking the knife out of the Cheese!
Do you think he wants some cheese?

reply

Unless I'm mistaken, she had to change to become more attractive, he wasn't attracted to her when she was a 3.

I bet you looked at this

reply

She was a 0.5. She dolled up to a 4ish. Maybe 5. Great example.

reply

The first "Rocky" (Sly wasn't that bad-looking back in the day, and I think Adrian was supposed to be somewhat plain).

reply

The movie "Muriel's Wedding". That's the best example I think.

"You have no power over me."

reply

can't hardly wait is a great example of a five who gets a ten.

Heh, good one! The guy was indeed much more attractive than Linda Hamilton.

My karma ran over your dogma.

reply

rough and tough but linda hamilton was sexy as hell in terminator 2 but a lot of it was the kick ass ness i guess but i had to throw it in there =)

reply

BlushingAngel, which guy and girl are you talking about? I've seen Can't Hardly Wait and the guy was lower than the girl, which was the whole point.

I only do it with superheroes.
