This is what you want to do to hide spoilers.

Just so you know- there is a "spoiler" tag you can use - the "spoiler space" didn't hide anything.

It looks like [ spoiler ] spoilers go here [ /spoiler ] without the spaces. Mouse over the black strip and you'll see the actual spoiler. :)

Agreed, the dueling between light and L seemed to be essential to the show. near and mello weren't nearly as interesting. I think I heard that second part may have been added due to popularity? (This may just be a rumor though)

I'm with you on that. After L died it wasn't the same. I just watched the entire show over three days. Some of the plot was crazy but it's one of the best anime I've seen.

Agree after L it became meh. I didn't even like L but he is way better than the 2 kids they brought in.

Actually L was the most interesting character in the series. He was full of surprises and totally unpredictable. When he died it became.. well.. boring and very very predictable.

I agree, I think they dropped the ball when they killed L and then at the end have Near win, it should have been L. The series starts to drag half way through but the ending is well done.

reply

Yeah. Still a great series but N was just L-lite so the second season just wasn't as good. And the ending was a disappointment. N didn't deserve to win. L did. I liked Kira and wanted him to win, but I would have liked to see L win nevertheless. But not N. I didn't like N, and I hated Mello. I felt like they didn't earn their win. They just stood on L's shoulders, on what L had already done.

After L died, Kira should have won. What was the point of killing L if Kira was still going to lose and die? After L died, I wanted to see Kira building his new world. Not some little L-wannabe just strolling in and picking up where L left off.
