Is this funny?

Can anyone throw in some insight on if this movie is actually funny or is it just Kevin Hart funny?

By Kevin Hart funny... I mean not funny whatsoever because I hate Kevin Hart with a burning passion and would rather skin my own **** and dump salt on it than watch one of his movies. People who find him funny are either 1.) not that intelligent when it comes to movies or 2.) black.

It's really funny !!

I do not think Kevin Hart is funny and I was fully expecting to hate this movie.

Maybe it was my low expectations, but I laughed a lot during this movie. Is it deep? No. Will it change my life? No. It was an entertaining movie that made me laugh a good amount of times.

This movie was very funny and enjoyable.

Not the constant penis & drug jokes with Seth Rogan/James Franco movies. Miles and miles above Get Hard which was absolutely terrible.

reply

What are you talking about Kevin Hart went on a rant about abusing drugs and the main song of the movie was about weed.. Not to mention the asian with 3 balls and the main character getting his dick chomped on by a dog.

This movie had just as many dick and drug jokes as any of their movies did.

This^...And quite frankly, I will take the Rogan/Franco type of humor over this movie any day. And I'm not even much of a fan of theirs. But the whole Asian with three balls bit was stupid and unfunny, and the entire dog storyline (when it happened, on their way to the hospital, and even at the end on the plane) was just totally ridiculously unfunny. They tried waaaay too hard with that one. It's as if they felt the need to come up with a trademark scene in the movie, so that people years later can reference this movie - "yeah dude, remember that dog and peanut butter scene in that movie? Hilarious!!"
It was just stupid and unfunny, and I was hoping Josh Gad was above stuff like that, but apparently not.

Why are you pointing out it was an "Asian" with three balls? I honestly don't remember one reference in the movie about his ethnicity.

hmmmmm....

If we all liked the same movie, there'd only be one movie!

For me this was one of the few times I found Kevin Hart funny. I usually just see him as a midget doing a Chris Tucker impression, but this was good enough. Josh Gad is pretty super white comedy, so it balances. Not a great movie at all, but funny enough to watch and enjoy, especially considering how few good comedies there are lately. Definitely worth watching.

Catch "Grudge Match" sometime. He's the best part of that one.

This movie has its funny spots. I don't like Kevin Hart either, I don't think he's very funny. He did do a good job in this movie though. Pretty OK movie. One I enjoyed just fine and would watch again.

Why do you care if it's funny or not since you're probably going to be spending a bit of time nursing that awful salt wound.

In fact, why did you even post here?

reply

Why ask the question if you- 1. Dis anyone who finds Kevin Hart funny in the first place 2. Make a thread then disappear.

Oh yeah TROLL!!!!!

reply

Did you intend your post for me or the original poster? (If you meant it for me, I'm confused ... 1. I didn't "Dis anyone who finds Kevin Hart funny in the first place" -nor- 2. Did I disappear

reply

I don't like him either, but I liked the movie and him in it, a lot.

Got an extra point from me for the singing. The only thing I laughed at.
