Sheeran cameo brutally awkward

The epitome of new era British beta male. Pathetic.

I didn't feel that the scene was necessary at all, and I kept waiting for something more momentous to happen (someone, somehow, recognizes Arya, for example). With so much ground to cover, I didn't feel this was a good use of time. I didn't feel one way or the other about Ed Sheeran specifically, but I didn't see a need for any of those characters to have an entire scene. And it struck me as illogical for Arya, who knows the dangers of sitting down to drink with a group of unknown armed men, to do just that. But maybe she recognized Sheeran, lol, and knew he was harmless, ha ha.

I really don't see the big deal. if it was anyone else no one would complain. He didn't act he said two words and just sit there. He certainly didn't ruin anything for the viewer or changed anything in the scene, and it meant a lot to him cuz he's a huge fan, let the boy live.... People are just pissed cuz they recognized him and he had a chance to be part of the show...

I didn’t even know that this guy is a popular singer until I read it here.
The benefits of not being into mainstream music… *grin*

Same here. I've heard of him and briefly saw his face here and there, but not long enough to memorize what he looks like. And I haven't read that he's gonna be in this episode, so to me that scene looked pretty standard for GOT and I thought the singer did a good job.

Ikr, although I enjoyed how after he sang they seemed to shoehorn him in between 2 people talking to each other just so he could be seen. Other than that I think he was there to pass the salt.

reply

Didn't bother me because I don't even know who the hell he is. That's probably because I don't give a damn about popular music, especially the douche-crap that passes for popular music this decade.
