What are you going on about? She's the one who hired HIM. Its been established he is a tremendous judge of character. And who's to say he actually did trust her right away? He's shown to enter a situation under some innocuous qnd stealthy pretense, while gathering all the information he can and then make his deductions. If any of that were true, he'd be able to sniff it out, but on his own time.
