Hiddleston as the next Bond

If it's true that Daniel Craig is leaving the Bond franchise, I'm truly sad. I think Craig put a real human feel to Bond; we saw emotion, he got dirty and bled. I hope this same feel continues, and I think Tom Hiddleston could to it. His performance in The Night Manager gave us another side to Hiddleston acting; the "love\hate" for the character of Loki, but Tom had me at Pine's character. Nicely done! He was convincing, he drew you in; just as Craig did as Bond. I truly believe Tom could be the next Bond and regardless who will be directing it, if they keep that same humanly feel I think Tom Hiddleston will hit it out of the park!

Hiddleston is too effeminate.

Matthew Macfadyen would have been perfect.

But the only James Bond for me, will always be Roger.

No chance! Hiddleston is nowhere near threatening or charismatic enough. Bond is a proper hard man to the core whereas Tom comes across as a nice guy. Couldn't pull it off as James Bond in a million years.

I think Hiddleston's management is heading for a very aggressive campaign of establishing him in Hollywood. His supposed romance with Taylor Swift was so obviously staged that they had to defend it wasn't a PR stunt. Hiddleston has little chemistry with women. I think Bond is definitely their end game.

As charming as Tom H is he doesn't have that ruthlessness and that menacing look in his eye to be cast as Bond like Craig does. I do like the idea of Luke Evans from The girl on a train to be next Bond.

I cast my vote for Henry Cavill.
Hiddleston is fine for TV but Cavill looks magnificent on big screen.

Even if he's a bit too old probably, I'd vote for Clive Owen as Bond. These others noted in this thread would never get me excited to go see a Bond film. Clive Owen would.

He has many good qualities but I'm surprised that he's being considered for Bond (if he truly is). He's a bigger reach than Elba, who had race and age against him, IMO.

Tom did a very good job on this series but i don't think he has what it takes for Bond, nit when i felt Hugh Laurie was constantly upstaging him in their scenes together and when i wished Jed would have preferred Roper over Pine.

That's a terrible sign, i don't mind Tom doesn't have that much muscle Pierce didn't have it either but still had thta extra something to mak ehim my favorite Bond.
