Ridiculous plot hole (Spoilers)

The most stupid thing was when bear overdosed and took a nap for few minutes. And those two idiots with guns just looked at it instead of shooting it in a head. Then bear woke up and started attacking people again.

Yeah, I thought the same thing.
It’s not like any of this was the bear’s fault but when you’re in possession of a firearm and a killer bear is passed out and likely to awake soon it’s time to be pragmatic about the situation.

I wouldn't look at it as a plot hole.

They thought the bear had overdosed.

Plus, none of them were very bright so I didn't expect brilliant decisions from any of them.
