Now that the full 1st season is out, is it worth watching?

Been considering giving this a watch since I really enjoy Ferguson. What is the verdict on this show?

I lot of stupid and boring things happening due dimwitted writers and I have heard that the book is not much smarter, but it is meant for young adults after all. I was going to give up on the show but after watching the last two episodes, and being a fan of post apocalyptic fiction, I will consider season 2, depending on ratings.

I wouldn't have finished it if she weren't the lead actress. I don't think it's worth investing almost 10 hours on this. They just pile questions upon questions and the finale was a cliffhanger.

Honestly - no. It dragged for forever with nothing happening.

It has interesting premise but execution was weak. For 10 episodes characters walk around and do nothing and nothing is happening. You can watch first 2 episodes and then the last one and you will not miss anything plot important.

Actors are good. Decorations are good. But writing is boring. They dont have material for 10 episodes. Everything could be done in 2.5 hours movie.

It was going so slow that I was considering to read book it was based on to see how it is happening there. Because with this pace they will go for 5 years.

Great show, great season, great soundtrack. Give it a watch and then discuss your findings after. I finished it in 3 separate sittings, starting the series after the season finale had finally aired.

Watch it or don't watch you whiner.
I wouldn't trust any of the commentors here to make a decent review of anything.

It was okay, I didn't mind it.

Just finished. It's not bad. My problem with it is as soon as they introduce the Silo, they also let you know that it's not what it seems and there are hidden forces keeping the people in the dark. There's no build up and the rug isn't pulled from under you. Because of this the bulk of the season is the main character trying to uncover the actual details of what we already know and there's few twist and turns. The ending was interesting but like a lot of similar shows they don't give you much and then suddenly at the end of the season they introduce something different that you now have to wait for.

I started off hating it and ended up loving it. So that's a thumbs up. But it has a lot of problems. I too watched just for Fergusson. Though she's not very sexy in this role and she's definitely flipping through every page in the actor's handbook. It's a very ugly show. Browns on top of grays on top of browns with murky lighting. It's honestly hard to look at and discern any detail. I know that's exactly what they were going for. But yo, it's still a tv show, this is too damn ugly. I have to want to look at my tv screen. That aside, the sets and the CGI sets and all the effects in general just really wonderful. Coupled with the ominous soundtrack, it had a lot of tension and atmosphere. It's a mystery show and buddy, they lob out about a hundred of them and they answer exactly ONE. That's it. They answer one mystery. Mostly great performances. Tim Robbins was excellent as usual.

My verdict is: Not worth watching. Because: It's gonna take at least TWO more seasons to start paying anything off. And that's assuming they don't just keep piling up more mysteries along the way. And with the strike and the rate at which Apple produces their shows. You may as well wait 5 years and just catch up then.
