Don't know what 'breaking bad' is but I found it rather stupid that they would name their protagonist after a username from an obscure website.

Heisenberg was a scientist, Breaking Bad took the name from the scientist. Although there were some plot points that seemed similar to breaking bad/better call saul such as the characters sending their kids to live with friends, the ranch reminded me a lot of the warehouse that Gus and Mike kept the construction crew in, etc.
