So, In Your Opinion, What is THE Best Video Game Adaptation?

With Assassin's Creed getting mauled by critics, the small glimmer of hope I had that this would turn out to be something special is looking like a wash. Therefore, I'm wondering what you all think is the BEST video game adaptation we've had so far at the movies.

I'll probably get killed for this, but my vote goes to Need for Speed. I think that movie is criminally underrated. Loved that everything was filmed practically and without CGI, and the locales at the end race looked like they were ripped straight out of the games. Honorable mention to Silent Hill.

SO, what's your favorite video game adaptation?

The few i really like off the top of my head are Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles(only the 1990 version) would be number 1 , then 2 would be Mortal Kombat and 3rd would be Resident Evil .I thought Need for Speed was so Awful i had completely forgot about it until you brought it up in your post.Sorry

Technically, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990) is a comic-book adaptation that began in 1984. So it looks like Mortal Kombat is your #1.

IMO the best video game movie is Mortal Kombat. It is IMO the most faithful to the source material. Not seen AC yet though.

yea , that's fine . I know it was a comic book adaption but their was also a ton of games made after them as well.

Prince of Persia and the two Tomb Raider movies.

I enjoy Mortal Kombat, even the second one to laugh at. I also enjoyed the first Tomb raider.

However if the Lego movie counts then I choose that.

I thought Spirits Within was good, the animation was awesome and way ahead of its time. As an adaption I can't say cause I've never played a FF game.
