The one scene that ruined this movie.

This movie wasn't really that good to begin with. It seemed like they were trying too hard but there was one scene that really killed it. The part with the old lady and the hearing aids. What was funny about that? It was totally unnecessary and freakin gross! Did anybody really honestly think that was funny? One of the best attributes of first movie was the fact that it's not exactly a kiddie movie but family friendly none the less. Could you imagine watching that scene with a pre teen relative or your mom and dad, or even your own grandmother for that matter? Awkward! Gross!

That was the funniest bit in the movie.

Many Farrelly Brothers movies have some older lady gross out/sexual situation humor.
Kingpin
Something About Mary
Hall Pass

There is no sacred cow when it comes to Farrelly Brothers and their willingness to go gross out humor for laughs...Me Myself and Irene is probably their poster child.

Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?

reply

OP is just a sensitive pussy that was the funniest scene in the movie

Honestly, that scene could have been funny if they chose another actress.... Granted Jim and Jeff acted horribly in this movie, that old lady was one of the worst actors/actresses I've ever seen. It was cringeworthy in the trailer and I expected them to cut it out.

well this has become so common i didn't think anyone but me reacted to it anymore, you can hardly have the tv on at any channel at any hour of the anymore when you got company over, i used to only have tcm on cause they aired classic movies from back when not just anything went, i usually don't watch new entertainment, but whenever i happen to come across it's like your head gets screwed up and you pity today's generation constantly fed with this, and it's like you question if you're actually seeing this or having a bad dream, i have noticed a dramatic change on english speaking channels in just the last few years, words or dancing around words that would never have been acceptable just a short while ago, living in a country that has no boundaries at all where you can hear any word or discussion any hour of the day i always found it inspiring how other countries have a more civilised tone even these days, and it's sad to see the deterioration, still i found this overall pretty light compared to other entertainment of today. it was funny how they were in the same room with the same poster on the wall identical as twenty years before.

whole week kinda cold,
since lack of your love,
after days i was about to pack it in,
suddenly last hour you were returning,
in hot dress the loss made up,
before store closed got you cool make up,
after a long week arrived to feel right at your love.

I almost found it too repulsive but then it turned downright ridiculous with the old woman ‘clamping’ Lloyd’s hand and him then blowing dust off it 🤣 that made it absurdly silly to the point it took the creepy edge off it.

There was a spirit if anarchic fun and joy at pushing boundaries that the Farrelly’s are famous for.

I completely get what you said 8 years ago, OP.

The first movie had that toilet scene which is a LOT darker in the deleted / extended version and I'm very glad they cut it down so much - it made the film almost perfect for families. My kids love it.

The sequel had the old lady diamonds scene and that was too much. Without that it would have been just fine.
