He had to go. The fact he stated he killed women and children with no remorse told me he wouldn't survive. His final act of helping the rescue tho was something of a hopeful form of redemption for him. He felt honor bound to assist in the rescue not only cuz it was the right thing to do but from what he said about his past courtship attempts he still loved her. Great acting by Fox...when he had to tend to his horse that ...well any animal owner knows what i mean.
shareWas hoping he'd have bent down first and gave it a few strokes while saying a heartfelt goodbye to it. But you can tell he had no feelings other than that of the owner of an expensive, high grade service animal. Or it was hard for him to show emotion and intimacy because of how damaged he was.

shareYeah I was like, hey, what the hell happened with the stick of dynamite he asked for?? I kept thinking Patrick Wilson's character would find him and see the stick of dynamite and blow the fuck out of the cave. Or give the stick of dynamite to Kurt Russell's character so that he could blow the fuck out of the cave.
