Did anyone else get emotional during Robin Williams last scene?

While watching Robin Williams in his final scene, I couldn't help but to say goodbye to him and shed a tear. I've watched his career my entire life and will miss him greatly. What he says in his final moments in the film are fitting as well. So sad.

Yep. I watched Father's Day recently too, and I just loved him so. His comedic timing was so great. Loved him SO much. Same way I felt about Greg Peck.

Everyone had to get choked up... if they are human.

reply

No, not really but I felt it.

On Merry Friggin' Christmas he went out with a bangin' quote that's rather, er.. unforgettable.

Thank your for posting about this. I took my son to see this movie, and found myself fighting back tears during that scene. It really felt so uncanny - like he was addressing the audience, not just Larry, and saying goodbye. I still have such a touch time understanding that the great Robin Williams is gone... The end of this movie felt like the end of an era...

Something I'm wondering now is if Jake Cherry (who played Nick in the first two films) has any regrets now of not being in the third movie. Like, "I could have worked with Robin Williams one last time...."

But, yeah I choked up a bit towards the end.

Also Dexter's "last" scene was touching as well

reply

I didn't, but I did find it touching.

reply

Not in the slightest.

Since my mom was more familiar with his work than me, and therefore, more affected by his death, I asked her if she did get teary-eyed, and she said just a little bit. She said she noticed the irony in that last line, "You have to smile," 'cause she thought in her head, But Robin Williams, you didn't smile!

I came to these message boards to find that out too... I had a pretty hard time with his goodbye scenes :( reading these replies and thinking about his face makes me feel like crying like I did when I heard the world had lost him. It's crazy how much you can care for someone you've never really met... RIP sweet Robin :(
