You people need to post more

So little activity during an active great show is not good enough.

reply

I know. I come onto here after watching every episode and nothing. :-( I also look on here www.themoviedb.org for my BCS fix.

What did you think of the end to S4Ep2? I forgot how much I hated Gus until then. He is one of my favourite characters (love to hate). Why is he so angry that Nacho tried to kill his nemesis? BIG mistake Gus (as we know what happens to him). :-) lol

LOVE THIS SHOW and wish I didn't have to wait every week for a new episode. :-( Each episode finishes way too quickly.

reply

Yeah we need to try and get more people to come here. I miss the days of IMDb where you could go to the boards after a new ep and the place would be flooded with posts. Now everyone spread out to different sites so afaik there's no highly active board for the show apart from the subreddit which kind of sucks.

The end of ep2 was insane. I too forgot how evil Gus can be. It's crazy how he can go from being so likeable and calm to a complete psychopath at the flick of a switch. Just amazing.

He's angry because Nacho would have nearly ruined his long and elaborate revenge plan if Hector had died. Like Gus told his doctor, only he gets to decide Hector's fate.

I hope things end up okay for Nacho. He's been having the worst luck lol.

reply

I'm guessing Nacho will not be surviving this series but I agree....for people who populate the Breaking Bad universe (Breaking Badiverse?) he is one of the more likable.

reply

I miss those days too. Well I'll be chatting here after the next episode, which will be on a Tuesday evening (UK time). That's when we get it here.

The scene with Kim was just awesome. You could feel her built up anger over the 3 seasons. She said everything we wanted too.

The scene with her and Jimmy on the couch was touching too. Jimmy trying to hide how sad he was feeling.

What do you think the interview scene was all about? The looks on the guys faces were so funny.

reply

The interview was a ego thing; Jimmy's special skill is persuading people to do whatever he wants, but he doesn't really want that job because he knows those guys and that job won't challenge him. He does not see them as being worthy of the privilege of being his employers. We saw it in earlier seasons when he (and sometime Kim) would run scams on people in the restaurant. Kim was satisfied by just imagining the scams, she sees many of the same things as Jimmy when planning them out, but Jimmy is only satisfied when he takes action to see them through.

reply

Either a) Outsmarting people who are gullible isn't satisfying or b) he was disappointed in himself on the make. Probably a, but you never know.

Gus said something about how as much as he hated Hector they needed him around because he kept everyone in line and they don't need rival gangs taking a run at the Salamanca's.

Remember the chat that Arturo and Nacho have to the comotosed Hector: It's all looking good. We had a problem with that shit gang over on Lomas, but we showed some muscle. Took care of it. No one wants to mess with the Salamanca's.

That's what Gus wants to happen and Hector being alive facilitates that.

Have to also remember that though we know Gus hates Hector, the majority of the drug cartel don't, basically we have to separate what we know of the future and see it through the other cartel members eyes (what we see of Gus they don't). I see it as Gus is just putting on a show of giving Hector the best care, Gus' end game is to take over the Mexican drug cartel and the Salamanca's business so keeping Hector alive to see that happen is also a motivation, plus of course what OhHeyBro says below about how Gus is the only one who will decide Hectors fate.

Back to what we know of the future and Gus, that is how Gus plays things, remember what the Police thought of Gus in Breaking Bad he was their hero almost. That is what is at play here I believe Gus is getting all the others on side, especially Hector's nephews "The Cousins," then Gus takes a tilt at taking over the Mexican Cartel.

I don't live in the US so I have to wait until the new season comes on Netflix. :(

reply

It is on Netflix. Check to make sure you have it. They add the episodes weekly. Mondays for US and Tuesdays for UK.

reply

I'm in Canada. They haven't popped up yet.

reply

Wow I thought this would be have been shown in all counties with Netflix. That's so unfair. I understand films and other TV shows may not be screened in all countries, but Better Call Saul says it's a Netflix Original. Make sure you don't read any spoilers.

reply

Trying. Thanks.

reply

"Better Call Saul says it's a Netflix Original."

Apparently that's not the case for certain countries.

reply

It would be good to get lots more activity across the individual boards.

reply

Yeah. The problem is people don't listen. They claim to really miss the IMDb boards, so you tell them that there's an alternative to the IMDb boards which even has a backup of all the existing posts from IMDb, but they never come.

reply

Yes IMDb had the numbers and those people must have spread in several directions unfortunately. This is the least trolly of the boards I've come across, but it needs updating desperately.
The trending section is brilliant, hopefully if people spot your show often enough they will start commenting.

reply

Hey @OhHeyBro, Are there many trolls on this Movie Chat forum? I created a post for 'The Affair' and someone called Corky666 replied saying, "Shut Up Stupid". I thought what an intelligent reply to my post. :-) lol I haven't responded, as I don't want to feed it. On the other forum (TMDb) I haven't come across any trolls.

reply

I know you weren't asking me, but my answer? Shut the hell up, nobody likes you.
No, sorry lol
I been here six months or so and have found that yeah, while there are a few trolls here and there, they tend to stick out like sore thumbs, and the most prolific I've found is so dang "try-hard" that you almost feel a little bad for him.
Its not too shabby at all around here...the level of "articulate" here compared to the IMDB boards is noticeable, and while some posts may be a bit gabby, going on and on and on after having already stated their point, generally the writing is thoughtful enough to hold your interest.

There's a whole Marvel vs DC thing going on that involves a lot of trolling and...most recently, a development wherein someone has promised to eat their own poop if some movie doesn't do better than some other one, but that's easily avoided by staying the hell away from the comic book movie forums. Unless maybe you're 12 or whatever, but that's not the impression I get.

reply

🤣 :-) lol That made me laugh.

Ok good to hear. I only started posting here recently as I’ve been using TMDd mainly.

I will definitely stay away from the Marvel vs DC posts. Doesn’t look appetising at all. :-)

Thanks @Jehosaphet.

Thank you @MIchiganJFrogg. :-) I will do.

The bingewatchers are probably mostly avoiding the board till it's done.
