What's the point of Madison returning to this garbage show?

Now that Alicia is gone? Actually, what's the point in me watching S8 after a horrible season with atrocious writing.

reply

So when they kill her off again, Alicia can reappear. There must always be one Clark. No more, no less...

reply

Don't give the writers ideas man...

reply

I said in another thread that at this point, they may as well just bring TRAVIS back too! Never mind that he was shot in the neck & fell several hundred feet out of a moving helicopter!!! He COULD'VE survived! You didn't actually SEE him die, right?

I know, I know.....I'm giving the writers ideas.....sorry about that!😱

reply

Oh no, you gave them ideas! 😡

reply

That would just be lather rinse repeat!

reply

Which is exactly what this entire franchise excels at.

reply

Lets write him back in. How about, he fell from the chopper and conveniently landed into a mattress factory, where there happened to be a trauma surgeon with O-negative blood hiding out.

reply

At this point, I wouldn't put it past the writers to do this. After all, they've done a lot worse with nukes being dropped & submarines ending up in the middle of Texas.

reply

To be fair, the sub was on the Gulf Coast.

reply

Remember he was also bit, in addition to the fall.

reply

Travis was bit? No, he was shot in the neck.

reply

Not sure if you're remembering the right character. Travis was bit, then jumped from a helicopter.

reply

Uh, I'm more than sure I am. S03E02 opening scene.

reply

You don't remember him being bit then jumping from the helicopter?

You've got the right episode. At the 2:39 mark Alisha opens his shirt and see where he was bit. He exits the helicopter (whether it's a fall or a suicide can be debated) at about the 3 minute mark.

reply

But there were no walkers on the helicopter, so he couldn't have been biten there.

He was shot in the neck, apparently from the Indian group. When was he bit? Back at the military base when he was put in the pit with the zombies? Wouldn't the Otto brothers have noticed this & not let him on the chopper?

reply

Yeah, he was shot in the neck as well. Poor Travis! lol

I thought that part was poorly done. They didn't make it clear when he was bit, but I've always assumed it was in the pit. No idea how he kept it from them... closed his shirt up after the pit, but before he got out, maybe?

I last saw Alicia overcome her fever and she told her younger avatar guide that she will go out and help more people? She didnt die? Is the actor leaving the show?

I think Madison showing up was neat, and it actually brought interest for me to see how it plays out. Its weird seeing her as a villain though.

I agree with the writing for this season...this is the first season of this show with Lennie James that I didnt like as much as the others. For me it was how drawn out the Alicia being sick arc was. She was basically feverish the entire season xD it wasnt necessary. Also they fought so hard to take the tower or keep it and it just burns up at the end. What a waste of time.

reply

I thought the show got better when the killed off Madison and the son

reply

The season that gave me hope for this show was when Morgan and John Dorie joined it.
The seasons after declined to the point I cannot even watch it after the ridiculous train car episode.
These actors must be desperate for cash because the embarrassment of working in this show at this point must be awful.

reply

How is she even named Madison? She was born in 1965. Madison wasn't a popular girl's name until 2001.

It kind of breaks the realism of the show.
