I know the first one had a light theme with comedy and some corny jokes but it was still enjoyable to me and one of the Top 5 MCU best so far. This one (I hope I'm wrong) looks like it's straight up for kids. Like it's just a Disney movie about super heros. Baby Groot just makes it kind of worse cause he's supposed to be this cute comedic character, even Drax looks more comedic. *sighs* they might overdo the comedy this time around.

shareI don't remember Iron Man 3 being childish. Was it the kid that made it seem so? I mean, Tony was dealing with some serious stuff after almost dying in Avengers and his shaky relationship with Pepper.
And Guardians of the Galaxy is supposed to be more light-hearted and comedic than the others, I think. I certainly don't expect it to be gritty or dark.
It only had Shane Black putting a random kid in the film for no reason, like he does with EVERY movie...
shareSure, they might overdo it. But judging from the trailers and clips, the tone of this one feels pretty much the same as the first. Grittier or sillier? I think the latter would work best for Guardians.
shareGotG is always more lighthearted and comedic then the rest of Marvel i find. This film does have central themes to it that will likely go over there heads. In general it's not for children, young ones at least.
