I didn't care for the actress and i thought she and Cox lack chemistry. I also felt her storyline from S2 of Daredevil was overly stretched out. Actually, S2 of that show was kind of a mess on the whole as Matt took a backseat to Punisher and Elektra.

Never really liked Elektra. I thought she was okay in the show, she shouldn't be a main focus.
She might be better with the addition of the other heroes.
I understand what you mean. Personally I liked her and the chemistry, but yes not the excess screen time. I think she was absolutely amazing when on screen with Matt.
shareFor the longest time I thought Elektra and Psylocke were one in the same when i was a child. The picture I linked below has them standing back to back in a mirrored pose and shows why I would confuse the two.

Although she felt out of place at times I liked her overall and am excited to see her return. Also loved how she fought.
Psylocke had this cool "Raven" armored outfit thing going on, before they saw that Elektra sold and made her into an Elektra clone...

shareThey left it a bit open at the end of DD2. I think they will have probably taken notice of the lukewarm reaction to her in Daredevil and made her role smaller than it otherwise would have been.
They do seem to pay attention to how characters are received, that's why The Punisher got his own series, and Daredevil got a second season before the Defenders.

Interesting. I rather enjoyed Elektra in this series which was a surprise because she's typically not a favorite of mine. Thought she and Matt had great chemistry, though I still am rooting for Matt & Nurse Claire. I am trying really hard to get on board with Matt and Karen as that is where they are headed. However, it's been...difficult.

shareDaredevil season 2 was satisfying, as far as I'm concerned. I never had a problem with Elodie Yung as Elektra (I'll admit she was overused), but I can understand why anyone would have a problem with her the more I think about it.
Yes, I myself wouldn't want to see her come back and act the same way she did before, but I expect with the hand bringing her back so she can try to destroy Matt and his friends, a far more menacing and watchable Elektra will be shown. We'll see.

shareI don't get the Elektra hate. I thought Matt and Ellie had great chemistry, especially in the diner scene. Besides, she's a martial artist, so the showrunners don't have to worry about stunt women as much. :)
