Did Ray Kroc rip off the McDoldalds brothers?

I wonder if this movie will touch on that.

Boston and Philly love to slander us, but they don t have as many fans as us

The Brothers got involved in a game they couldn't handle with someone who was far more ambitious than themselves. They didn't mind sitting back while Ray did all the work building up the franchises. I think if you are going to play the game you need to man up to go all the way.

The brothers weren't willing to do that and lost.

How did they lose? So they did not get $2.7M in 1961? How is that losing?

To suggest Ray Kroc stole from the brothers indicates a complete lack of understanding about the story.

1. Kroc convinced the brothers to hire him on to develop franchises. They paid him $20,000 a year plus a cut off the stores. This is not something Ray did on his own.

2. The Mcdonalds brothers sold their interest in the company at an agreed upon price of $2.7M. They agreed to it! That's called a contract. If you have a guart of milk and are selling it for $2 and I agree to buy it that is a contract. I give you the $2 and you give me the milk. That is not theft!

3. The incredible growth of Mcdonalds around the world after Kroc bought the company had nothing to do with the McDonalds brothers. They were out of the picture.

Ray's Mac was a mistake. Should have stayed local. The brothers had something unique.
