shareI havent seen 13 Reasons Why. Mostly because I can think of way more than 13 reasons why it looks like a shitty show. But I do know this show is a sequel to the film Jumper. The protagonist is the daughter of David from the film apparently. And its produced/directed/written by Doug Liman who did the film. I think Liman is actually a pretty solid filmmaker so for that reason alone I would guess that this show is probably 50 times better than 13 Reasons Why
shareNo, no, its not what I meant tho, I get that this show is supposed to be in the same universe as the Jumper. What I meant was all the SJW, #Metoo, Rapist-Victim, PTSD and PC bullshit that's been plaguing all the recent shows and movies (cough..Star Wars..cough). It's like I can't even watch a show or a movie for fantasy and escapism anymore, it always has to be about real-life issues hammering me on the head.
All that shit should belong in the drama shows like "13 reasons why" and not in shows with superpowers.
I liked the show but they did lay the rape story line on a bit thick.There were times when it felt less like a sci fi show and more like an after school special.

I agree with this sentiment completely.I miss good old fashioned escapism.Now a days most tv shows have become nothing more than a podium for the SJW/#metoo movement to get their message across.I commend their message and think it's important but can i just watch a tv show without having it constantly shoved down my throat.
