Likely they were getting ambushed by their own tethered doppelgänger

This was apparently a nationwide phenomenon

The main cast only survived because Adelaide was herself a doppelgänger from the underground

They shouldn't have had that line in the movie. I’ve never heard of the police giving such a specific ETA, 14 not 15? And I just kept questioning how much time had passed.
