Superbowl Champions call themselves Superbowl champions. Even if they did call themselves world champion, it still fits, because American style football is really only played in America.
That's silly! Like most Americans, I know that besides our great nation, there is a land called Canada up at the north pole, some little island called Yurrip in the ocean somewhere (Sorry, geometry isn't my forte. Neither is language, for that matter, because I don't even know what forte means), and I believe there is a new nation that formed recently called Chi-Nuh. I think you can find that one deep underground in caves somewhere.
So there! Keep your incorrect, negative assumptions about Americans to yourself.
Thank you, kind sir. Finally, someone else agrees with what my dear, sweet mama always is saying. I can assume then that the rest of the stuff she says about me is also true. So all you ladies of Moviechat, if you’re looking for a stunningly handsome gentleman with impeccable manners who is finally divorced and now available, what are you waiting for?
The Super Bowl Championship never emphasized itself as a Global Championship. I don't know where you're getting that idea from.
As for the World Series, I can agree that the title itself if rather ostentatious even though technically Major League Baseball recruits baseball players from Asia, South Asia, Africa, Latin America and even Europe, but it doesn't compete with global teams.
I wondered this growing up as well. It was explained to me that the best players in the world come to the U.S. to compete in our leagues. If that is the case, then I doubt MLS calls themselves world champions, lol.
It’s funny because the USA literally have a team that has won the World Cup, the women's football team.
They can say they are the world champions, but people don’t seem to care.
