Is this as good as the 1992 original, as stated in Scream VI?

I have to say I got triggered when I heard the characters say 'both' in a question of Candyman (1992) or it's reboot.

Now I haven't seen this but surely it isn't even half as good as Candyman (1992), that film is one of the all time greats.

I've debated checking this one out, some seem to like it whilst others hate it (to be fair much of the hate seems to be political in nature).

Does anyone recommend this film?
Is it as good as the 1992 film?

If you've seen the original, why bother with the cynical cash-grab remake?

Why not try something new?

I recommend it. I thought the 2021 Candyman was fantastic and on par with the original.

Just got round to it. I had assumed it was going to be crap and I was surprised to discover that it is a good as the original.
