As I posted on another site: Good Grief....what did I sit through? Jody - I love you, but you were worthless in this episode. Just hang around until your little speech at the end.....I know, I know....spin-off.. Dean - I love you, but other than your fight scene.......which you handled on your own....oh wait....yeah, you were warned....right? I fail to remember. Sam - I love you, bravo for defending Jack and your willingness to give him a chance, but I want to see your grief too. Jack - Please stand side by side with Sam while looking into a mirror.....yeah, see that head of hair right next to you? Puh-leze emulate that! Castiel - Welcome back dude! I think. Depends on what they do with you. Oh wait, with you back, the brothers can leave Jack with you...please hurry back. Missouri - Bye. Haven't seen or talked to the boys in a decade...who, to the world, are dead, mind you (right?), yet you just ring up Sam's cell. Other world contacts, I'll bet. Patience - Sorry honey, you cannot act. You are restrained to a chair, have seen a vision of 3 people's death and the most you can do is....weakly yell? Blah. Whoever directed this episode - Patience should have been squirming, rocking, and kicking and screaming in that chair....way not to build tension and suspense. The Wraith - hello actor? Yeah, you need a new agent...... Blonde psychic whose name I don't remember - you were the best actress on my TV screen. *sigh* I may not have agreed with the ALL the storylines Carver chose or went with or agreed to or approved or wrote, but season 12 nearly did me in and 3 episodes in this season has me wishing for Cas, Rowena, Crowley, Benny, Kevin, pre-Dabb Jody.....Lucifer, go away. Mary, go with him. I do like action and fight scenes, though. First..... Let me say, (perhaps it is my age - the decade I just entered), I do not like the floppy, side-part hair always hanging in his face. That right there puts me off the character and the actor. I know, I know, it shouldn't, but just like I can't get past Tom Cruise and Richard Gere always 'smirking', the 'hair' bugs me. That said, if the show's intent is to introduce a character to focus much of the storyline on for the season to give the 2 leads more time off, (though I much prefer, Jody, Kevin, Benny, Bobby) I can be okay with that. What I don't want to see is: brat-Lucifer and dumb-Cas forming an alliance to raise/nurture/train Jack, an all-powerful-Jack, (though we don't yet know what 'powers' he possesses), fixing all issues and problems and always saving Sam and Dean, Jack go all evil, Jack be all naïve and stupid. What I don't mind seeing is: Jack exploring the dark side, testing his abilities and powers, Jack finding trouble and the brothers bailing him out, Jack joining the fight to re-cage Lucifer....... Guess we'll see as the season plays out. Well, I'll add my 2 cents. I am not surprised the ratings have tumbled. I suspect they will continue to do so. (Oh, right, yes.....it's Spring) I admit it. I no longer watch the show live. In fact, I am 4 (?) episodes behind. I'd have to check my DVR to know the exact number. I loved Season 2, 1 and 3. I liked Season 4 and half of 6. I tolerated Season 5 . I suffered through Season 7. I loathed the first half of Season 8. I liked Season 9, 10 and half of 11. This season? Blah. I am bored, uninterested, disengaged and unconnected with the plot, storyline, characters, BMOL's and the overall timing and pacing of the entire season. I don't have a problem with less screen time for Dean or Sam. I do have a problem with no consistent, believable storylines for the supporting cast. (so, Cas went to heaven and will be betrayed - again - and Crowley is playing with Lucifer and will be double-crossed - again - and Rowena went where to do what?....oh, and Mary is sleeping with Ketch.) I don't have a problem with which brother gets more action scenes or kills. I do have a problem when (and yes, blahblahablah, I've heard and read the for/against this scene) Dean comes home dirty and smelly and is content to go out again in the same condition. I don't need 'that kind of humor' added in some lame attempt to be....what?......funny. To what age group, might I ask? I don't care about Lucifer or his baby or his baby's momma or her keeper. I don't care about Toni or the BMOL's. I want to care about Mary, but I don't. I care about Cas and Crowley and Jodi and *sniff* Bobby and Rufus(sob) and Kevin and Benny. I want anger and violence and action and suspense........not teenage drama.....sorry Sam, I just can't seem to care about your desire to work for (not with, for) the BMOL. Oh, and Dean, yeah you, hey buddy......yeah, take a memo.....when you swing a meat hook over your shoulder in a meat locker.....chances are it's gonna get stuck in a slab of frozen meat. But hey, in your younger years, you'd have known that..........OH! That was the last episode I saw. So The CW.....while I've tuned out (and your ratings ('Cause it's Spring, I know) seem to be reflecting that more than just me are doing so) and am waiting for a rainy Sunday to catch up on the missed episodes that I have recorded ('Cause I'm not ready to give up on the brothers just yet completely), know that I'm on another network watching the reboot of Prison Break, all emotional because Lincoln will go to any lengths (bribery, war) to reunite with his brother, Michael, who knows, despite being dead and buried for 7 years, all he has to do is send a coded message from prison in a war-torn country to a convicted frenemy-pedophile and Lincoln will be right by his side. I did not care for many episodes of season 6 even before I knew about the 'Sam without a soul' storyline. (except for 'Weekend at Bobby's'....I love Rufus and yes, it broke my heart when he died that same season.) But for me, too many attempts at humor didn't work in Clap your Hands. My top 10 worst episodes of all time; Long Distance Call Thinman Clap your Hands if you Believe Slumber Party Swan Song Houses of the Holy Criss Angel is a Douchebag Red Meat Mannequin 3: The Reckoning Bloodlines/Bitten I agree with: Clap your hands if you believe Bloodlines Bitten Thinman Didn't mind the other 6 episodes at all. Since this is a relatively new board, I will trust Miss Bella and give it a go. I normally post/lurk on another board, but it doesn't get much activity these days. So, here goes.....and yes, I copied it right from the other board! ***000*** So…..um…..well….aah…..yeah. Someone refresh my memory. I missed a part. Probably when I was dozing off. Why did the hellhound come after the guy, who didn’t make a deal and sell his soul 10 years ago, in the first place? I ‘get’ the hellhound stalked the girl because she hit it with an axe, but it waited until after the brothers visited and then left, to attack her? Did I get that right? Really? So tired of Lucifer. Put him back away in the cage and let’s move on show. Love Crowley. I’d rather have him spat and bicker with Rowena then watch these painful scenes with Lucifer. Stupidest scene ever? Two demon minions reading from a scroll. Yes, rolling my eyes….boring. Cas, Cas, Cas. What have they done to you? Babble, babble, ramble and roil. Good Grief! Yet another lame angel talk about heaven. Blah. How about Cas and Dagon, the yellow-eyed prince(cess) of hell go at it? Yeah….how about that? They meet, they fight, she gets away, he chases….repeat next episode. I’m kinda missing Ketch. How sad is that? Best part – and I mean, best – of the entire episode was Dean telling Sam to take care of her and Sam taking a moment to stumble that Dean meant the car. And then he let her get trashed and Dean says that’s why Sam doesn’t drive. Heeheeehee. Which, of course, I didn’t get the gist of at all. Must have dozed off again. I did quite a bit last night. Why, did they send Sam and girl-of-the-week off in the car again? Missed that part too. Which brings me to, if we are going to watch Dean and Crowley wander down a lane in the dark, let’s have entertaining conversation…..come on, can’t be that hard to write sarcasm and wit and dry humor between two fren-enemies, now, can it? Yes, apparently it is. ‘Cause whoever wrote this episode failed epically. Boring. Boring. Boring. I don’t mind side plots and B storylines, I just want them to be good, interesting, and NOT STUPID! So....I rate it a very firm 4. View all replies >
