I think The Irishman is a good and classic film, possibly Scorsese's best. No, it's time to stop supporting remakes of any film. Speak with your wallets and Hollywood wil eventually stop churning out pablum. Don't be silly, Hollywood only attacks people on the right. Very creepy scenes. I think the implication is that Pesci's character was potentially pedo. I'm glad they didn't go too much deeper into it. Spielberg replaced the guns with walkie talkies in later releases. Meanwhile guys like Scorcese are still working hard, hungry and kicking it. The Irishman was fantastic. It's a mature film that doesn't sacrifice character development for mindless action. This means the film is slower paced than many other films released these days. I found it to be a refreshing change of pace. I loved it and hope it sets a trend for future films. The movie ignored his backstory which is in the book "I Heard You Paint Houses ". He apparently participated in numerous massacres and executions during his wartime experience and it hardened him to the point where he was not affected by taking someone's life. I couldn't care less about what Robert De Niro thinks about politics. He's a great actor and very good in this film. You won't be disappointed. I think it is Scorsese's best film. The others are filled with politically correct garbage Red Green standing by. If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy I like this film but I think the biggest problem is that came out too late. Audiences that went to see John Carter probably left the theater thinking it was a copy of Star Wars and similar films instead of being the inspiration for those films. Seems to me that they could have just reused a lot of the John Williams music and it would have been much more effective https://songofthesouth.org/ The other problem was the music. Everything about this show feels very slick and well produced except for the cheesy music. I caught up with it on HBO Go and was able to fast forward all the pandering/lowest common denominator filler garbage. There actually is a good story hidden under all that stuff. http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/hanna-barbera/images/4/44/Huckhound.jpg I didn't realize this was a Guy Ritchie film. His early films (Lock Stock and Two Broken Barrels, Snatch) were brilliant. It's a shame what's happened to him. I think they're going to alienate their core audience if they push it too far (much like Star Wars has). Escapism no longer provides escape. I hope I'm wrong about this.
