"Frisby" is my favorite comedic episode. The Dingle episode wasn't terrible, thanks mainly to Burgess Meredith and Don Rickles, but they should have stuck with dramatic episodes.
Brooke Hayward - "The Masks"
The one with Stacy Harris (a.k.a. Barney Regal a.k.a. Clifford Ray Owens) - I think it was called "The Ranger". Liked that one. Blueboy and Crimson Crusader episodes were good. Also liked the one with the two officers who were fighting for their lives after a shooting. The young wife is hysterical the whole time. The older one is calm and philosophical. It was Virginia Gregg's best performance.
She needed to look her best for George Glass.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed that or was irked by it. His hand doesn't even make motions like he's writing letters, just swooshing it across the page.
Shows you what a solid cast can do for a story. Bruce Dern was so creepy, he was great. Teresa Wright was wonderful and Pat Buttram (Mr. Haney!) did a marvelous job as Emery. Frankly, I'd never seen Pat do drama before. I was impressed.
I take it "Le-MOAN-a" and "LOY-ya" didn't do it for you?
Can't afford them anymore. 35 cents? In New England, where they serve "frappes", a decent-sized one will run you $6-$9.
"The Prime Mover" had a brief scene or two in a diner.

"Of Late I Think of Cliffordville". It would be interesting to be sent back to a point earlier in your life, with everything around you the way it was then, but with the knowledge of what would happen in the future regarding the stock market, inventions, etc. I would just make sure to be sent back with all of my internal organs as they were as a younger man. And dealing with Julie Newmar would make the deal even sweeter.
Michael Constantine, Brooke Hayward
He was a hell of an actor.
"Funny Boy" from Season One. About the class clown who awkwardly tries to fit in through cutting up in class only to have it backfire on him. Well acted by Elliott Street (then William Elliott).
Room 222 was never big in the ratings, only making Top 30 once (Season Three). By the final season, it ranked 67th.
Is there any debate? Obviously Lily.
I have to think Desi Arnaz wanted her to play the character that way, but she was also irritating on The Doris Day Show. I think a lot of it was that her natural speaking voice was so loud.
Of course, another Season 1 actor, Gig Young ("Walking Distance") killed his wife, then committed suicide. And his character was stuck on living in the past, not wanting to deal with the present.
Gart's wife was a shrew and his boss was a miserable old coot. If I were Gart I probably would have drank myself to death.
Sorry, but there were characters on the show I just couldn't deal with. The Darlings, Malcolm Meriweather, Warren and Emmett to name a few.
