The movie was very ahead of its time. It should've been released around now, not 17 years ago.

It really wasn't a joke, more of an observation. I think it was maybe to lighten the mood, but everybody over-reacting like usual. It fell flat. Build a bridge and get over it.

Both 300 movies are based on true events. The Battle of Thermopylae 480 B.C. certainly happened and was very sad. It was necessary to prevent Xerxes from invading Greece. There was an old movie which you might prefer to watch. The 300 Spartans (1962).
That statement is fact btw. If you had been paying attention, you would've noticed the mission failed about 3 times if only the robots were sent. Love may be needed to progress humanity into the next phase. Don't hate on it.

The movie was alright. It was a pointless movie with no direction. I saw the Mahito / Himi connection a mile away. This film shows that Miyazaki needs to retire for good. It's better to end on a high note than a dementia filled one.
They did the same thing with Shrek. They just pieced together pre-existing works. Worst unfunny garbage ever made.
