My first concert as a 14 year old. Uriah Heep & Grand Funk Railroad. 1972. Black Sabbath was the bomb in my neighborhood and amongst friends. (War Pigs & Ironman) Then Zeppelin came on the scene and everything changed. In my narrow opinion, British Rock, from the Stones to The Cure, has produced the best rock music ever produced! The Beatles are what they are, not one of my favorites. Will Smith ‘bitch slapped him’, no big deal. He should’ve punched his ass and knocked him out! Muhammad Ali would’ve been proud. He’d be out on his own recognizance in 3 hours! Catching the Vanity Fair party still in full swing. Market St. has a variety of interesting people one could interact with, bums and junkies from all over the country. Street performers and musicians hustling coinage. The Mission District offers a wide range of drugs to accommodate any chosen vice. Transvestites soliciting sexual favors for pennies on the dollar. One of my favorite things to do, eating ‘acid’ (LSD) and watching the fog roll over Telegraph Hill while listening to KFOG (fossil rock) as I make dinner plans at the local rescue mission. Enjoy. PS. Every Saturday night around 2am, Grace Slick (Jefferson Airplane) stands at the corner of Haight & Asbury selling lollipops laced with psychedelic ‘shrooms ‘screaming, “I Built This City On Rock & Roll Mfer!” ‘Personally, I dig the cherry flavored ones baby! Slip daddle-do cat-o-cat!’ - Jack Kerouac
