Can we all agree the education system in America could be better?

Other countries outrank us in education. Shouldn't we examine that and take notes on how to improve it in America?

reply

Look no further than Democrats and teachers unions.

Ask yourself, why would those who pull the strings, want a large educated group of people floating around out there?

They might get ideas, like a person who busts their hump and gets $50.00 a day might wonder why someone who inherited their wealth and made more of it through questionable business and tax practices, makes $5,000.00 a day.

We don't want Einstein working at McDonalds, we want Paris Hilton. Wait, bad example, but you know what I mean.

reply

Certain school districts are better than others but if I had kids I'd want to send them to private school. Teachers in public schools think your kids are their property which is beyond frightening

reply

Its beyond disgusting what liberal Democrats did the Americas education system.
Especially what was the most prestigious colleges.

reply

I think America's most prestigious colleges made a hard left in the 1950's... this is old news... unless we're talking about the broader, older hard left with FDR in 1933...

reply

You are correct , but theirs ideas are coming to fruition now in a bigger way.

Lowering standards

reply

Even Neil DeGrasse Tyson is out trying to justify the existence of trannies and 500 genders. These people are pathetic.

A so-called “astrophysicist”.

As usual with the left, he can provide no hard evidence to support his claims.

These people say and do anything to push their political faith.

I'd recommend looking in to the books and videos by/of John Taylor Gatto, a lifelong teacher who won NYC Teacher of the Year three consecutive years, among many other accolades. Here are two links to get you started:

Break up the teacher's unions and kick out the bad teachers while keeping the ones that actually are doing their job. One of the biggest problems our public schools have had is the local teacher's unions dictate how the schools are run, and they use their power to protect bad teachers and give them job security while making life hell for the teachers that actually give a shit. Not to mention most teacher's unions are left-leaning, and most public schools have a bias against hiring conservative teachers, which is one of many reasons our youth have been screwed over academically since the 1970s.

Get the govt. out of our public schools too. They're one of the biggest reasons why our public schools have turned into indoctrination centers. Just take a look at who runs the Dept. of Education.

reply

"Get the govt. out of our public schools too."

LOL!

reply

1. Red states ban books instead of read them.
2. Red states have closed public libraries rather than allow a book to be in it.
3. Red states don't value their teachers or schools which is the reason they don't receive adequate funds.
4. Red states prefer an uneducated population which can be exploited for cheap labor by their rich political donors.

name for me a single book banned by a red state

"PEN America counted school book bans in the 2022-2023 school year, and found 3,362 book bans affecting 1,557 unique titles, with more than 40% of the bans occurring in Florida."

reply

I asked for you to "name for me a single book banned by a red state" and you failed to do so. At most what you've shown me is individual schools banning books. Can you name for me a single book that's actually been banned by a state?

reply

Of course, name a statewide school system and I'll link the book for you, Einstein.

Meanwhile, Texas and Florida lead in their dystopian book bans:

Texas — 438
Florida — 357
Missouri — 315
Utah — 109
South Carolina — 109
Pennsylvania — 27
North Dakota — 27
Michigan — 18
Virginia — 11
Tennessee — 4

reply

I'll spell out the actual question for you again, Einstein. Can you name for me a single book banned by a red state? Just one book banned by one state. Just name the title. Can you do that?

You show me these statistics from these various states and I don't know what they actually mean. I'm pretty sure these are not the numbers of books actually banned by the state governments in any of those states. I don't even know if these statistics even represent the number of books banned by individual schools. For all I know it simply represents the number of books on which certain schools within those states have set age restrictions for their availability to students.

Do you even know what these statistics actually represent or did you just lazily copy and paste them here without even bothering to find out?

reply

You wrote that you went to Hebrew school for many years, but you didn't learn Hebrew nor Judaism.

YOU are among the dummies to whom the OP is referring.

reply

So you admit that you can't name a single book that was banned by a red state. If you know that red states haven't actually banned any books then just don't falsely claim that they have. It's that simple.

And to clarify for you because you can't comprehend English: I never said that I didn't learn Hebrew or learn about Judaism at Jewish school. I learned a lot about Judaism, though certainly not everything. And I said that I learned Hebrew, just not enough to be fluent.

Do you realize how obvious it is that trying to troll me over anything to do with my Judaism is just an act of desperation you resort to whenever I prove you wrong about something and you don't want to admit it?

reply

Your pretending to be Jewish is still anti-Semitic.

You already admitted you didn't learn anything in school and have shown that you know nothing. I'm still laughing about your watching only American channels in an Israeli hotel. Your ignorance is the topic of the OP.

reply

You know, I realize that you're only doing this just because you don't want to admit that no red states have actually banned any books. Your desperation is showing. Why can't you just act like an adult and admit that I'm right about this issue?

We already know that you're antisemitic because of what you said about the Yale Law School library. I'm well aware that you're just pretending to believe that I'm not Jewish. I never admitted that I didn't learn anything in Jewish school. What I actually said was that I didn't learn anything in Jewish school about the halacha and religious aspects concerning abortion. I'm still laughing because you think there's anything humorous about the fact that I only watched American TV channels when I was at Israeli hotels. There's nothing humorous about only watching the same channels you watch at home when you're at hotels in another country.

reply

"only watching the same channels you watch at home when you're at hotels in another country."

ROTFLMAO

reply

There's nothing funny about that. You're just a laughing moron. What's really funny is that you can't even admit that there isn't a single book that's been banned by a single red state.

reply

It's because of you assholes that there are so many kids in high school that can't even read.

reply

Keeliar is complaining about the ban of pornographic books that are used to groom kids in schools and libraries.

reply

"Red states ban books instead of read them."

I told you so!

reply

It says a lot about you, when you want pornography in kids' schools.

Dont even respond to that poster.
They will go away only if they are ignored.

reply

The biggest problem with the educational system is partisan political bullshit like this typical nonsense from Keeliar.

reply

No, it's your fear of books.

Red states ban books instead of read them.

Texas — 438
Florida — 357

South Carolina — 109
Pennsylvania — 27
North Dakota — 27

reply

You think repeating bullshit makes it smell any better?

You think children should be exposed to sexually explicit material? Are you a pedophile?

reply

You:
Books = Fear

Thanks for proving that I'm right.

reply

I'm surrounded by books and I actually read them.

I just don't give dirty books to kids. Nor do I try to make them comfortable with sexual innuendo. Why do you support grooming children???

reply

Obviously, you don't read books or you would know your rant is based on far right-wing extremist lies and propaganda.

reply

I do read, almost daily. I have hundreds of books, including many written by our founding fathers and philosophers of ancient civilizations.

I don't rant. My posts are based on facts. Yours are nothing but partisan political rhetoric, aka lies.

The 32yrs I've been voting, my beliefs have remained constant. I believe in the Constitution and I believe in liberty and equality. If that makes me an extremist, then I am an extremist. Seeing as how you're defending groomers and pedophiles, I think the extremist here is you.

reply

So are guns, alcohol and tobacco. Why do you think that is?

reply

You:
guns; alcohol; tobacco = book

Thanks for proving that I'm right.

reply

>guns; alcohol; tobacco = book

This sums up this thread's title perfectly.

reply

Employing teachers instead of trannies would be a good start.
