1980s California was so much better than it is today. While people did complain that it was expensive, even back then, things were a lot better back then. You could at least get a job, and Affirmative Action wasn't as bad back then. People were a lot more connected and knew how to have fun with friends. They actually had malls where you could go hang out and have fun.

We have almost none of that today :(
