Do You Watch the Credits After the Movie Ends?

I always do. I was reminded of it because the trending bar was showing some Bond movies. I went on youtube to listen to some of my favorite 007 themes. A few of the clips show the ending credits. And there I was...watching the ending of a movie that I hadn't even watched!

For one thing, I hate standing behind a crowd. The film ends and people stampede for the door like the place is on fire. So I always sit and watch the credits while the crowd moves out. And I still manage to get to the parking lot the same time as everyone else.

Another thing is my curiosity. I know the names of the stars of the movie. But there's always some character actor or two whose face I recognize. But I can't recall the name.
For half of the movie I am usually wondering, "Who IS that guy? Where have I seen that actress before?"

I also like to read all the names of the behind the scenes people. They never seem to get credit (or recognition) because their credits come at the end after everyone has left the theater.

And of course, where was it filmed? What were the locations? Who did the music? What were the names of the songs played in the film? And I like to listen to the title song if it's played again.

I do that with movies that I watch on DVD too. One of my biggest peeves is watching a movie on TV. The greedy stations need to squeeze out every second for commercials. Some movies have great closing credits and the stations cut them off. Or they run the names so fast that they are illegible. It's called a "crawl" for a reason. On TV today, it's more like a sprint.

Always: it's part of the whole experience of watching the movie.

Sometimes if the movie is very good.

I always do. They're part of the movie, and I like to see who did the costumes, where the movie was filmed, what the songs were, etc.
