Movie you've watched the most times?

I think it's either Goodfellas or Training Day for me. I find the latter an extremely easy and satisfying watch.

😆mannequin. What a weird fucking movie.

This seems like an odd film but I have been watching killing them softly the most in the last 5 years.

When I was younger, probably shawshank redemption and fight club.

Toss up between natural born killers, gangs of New York, and buffalo 66.

reply

I’ve never seen Buffalo 66. I might need to put that one on my list.

reply

I love it. It’s a little off, but I’m a sucker for dysfunctional love stories. Good soundtrack too.

it's one of my very favourite movies. your mileage may vary, as the kids so often say, but it scratches all my itches, & it has some of my favourite scenes and dialogue.

one of the women i used to work with told me that my personality was a cross between vincent gallo's character in this movie and crispin glover. which i still carry as one of the greatest simultaneous insults/compliments i've ever received.

it's streaming on tubitv if you feel like checking it out. i might give it a re-watch today.

Definitely agree with The Wizard of Oz (1939).

In second place, because it constantly plays on TBS on Christmas day, A Christmas Story (1983).
You broke my leg lamp!

Taking the bronze medal has to be Forbidden Planet (1956).
It was shown on TV (especially Saturday afternoon TV) a lot when I was a kid growing up in New York in the early 60s.
Plus, I have watched it many times since I bought the Blu-ray.
But the Krell forgot one thing -- the Id -- monsters from within.

Other films I watched a lot on TV when I was a kid ...
King Kong (1933)
Godzilla - the altered version of the original where they inserted Raymond Burr's character
The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951)
The Thing from another world! (1951)
Mighty Joe Young (1949)
Rodan (1956)

I can't believe I forgot "A Christmas Story". I usually watch 24 Hours of A Christmas Story starting on Christmas Eve. I probably see at least ten hours of it!
