Buffalo '66
Buffalo 66 is my favorite film on your list, and I’ve only just discovered it this year. 👍
I always look at it like if I were going to live on an island and I could only bring 10 DVDs:
The Italian Connection (1972)
Jaws (1975)
The Wild Geese (1978)
The Man From Deep River (1972)
Buffalo 66 (1998)
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966)
Apocalypse Now (1979)
Come and See (1985)
Death Proof (2007)
Aguirre, The Wrath of God (1972)
Sling Blade
Deliverance
Godfather I/II
Moby Dick
Breaker Morant
One-Eyed Jacks
2001 A Space Odyssey
Glengarry Glen Ross
The Pink Panther
The Grapes Of Wrath
What an amazing film sequence. I loved that scene. It's certainly among the best in film history.
...
I think it's actually better than the "Godfather" restaurant scene or "Psycho" with a knife to the shower or Chrissie being eaten alive in the opening of "Jaws". Or all of the above famous scenes we read about.
And even Toto ripping the curtain on "The Wizard of Oz".
REALLY, REALLY HARD TO. I'll do in a minute and pretend not to regret any of the below. Many of them won't be Oscars. There might be some spit takes. But I think they are great flicks you can watch again and again...

Close Encounters of the Third Kind

Starship Troopers is a vastly misunderstood film. Unfortunately, most people just pass it off as a 'shoot 'em up, bug fest', which is understandable, but if you look a bit closer, it's a wonderful political satire - plus the effects really stand up and there's plenty of eye candy; what's not to like?
For me it's got plenty of rewatchability; a perfect popcorn flick that makes you think.
To Kill a Mockingbird (1962)
Jeremiah Johnson (1972)
Local Hero (1983)
The Lord of the Rings (2001, 2002, 2003)
Spartacus (1960)
Ben-Hur (1959)
Forbidden Planet (1956)
Casablanca (1942)
-----------------------------------------------
I counted The Lord of The Rings as three films, however if it is only counted as one (in three parts), then I'll add ...
The Apartment (1960)
A Thousand Clowns (1965)
Ben-Hur (1959)
Gone with the Wind (1939)
Schindler's List (1993)
2001: A Space Odyssey (1968)
Psycho (1960)
The Departed (2006)
Citizen Kane (1941)
Apocalypse Now (1979)
