I boycott all things I don’t like.
Sauerkraut.
Pittsburgh Steelers.
Stupid people.
The color Red.
Wokeness.
Solar panels.
Tight jeans.
Blonde hair women.
White Albacore tuna that is pink.
The list is endless...
DISNEY and ALL those attached to any Democratic view, idea or belief, that I don’t like are quickly rebuked. I’m not open to any discussion or cause that questions MY point of view or beliefs. I’m not debating these one’s either. These companies and the people who support this garbage can dine on the garbage that they shovel out. I refuse to accept any alternative lifestyle that I find appalling or disgusting. I am a man with my own mind and beliefs and will not bend to their ideas and/or titles. I don’t watch ESPN anymore. I hate network News. Facebook and Twitter, no need for either one! Supporting these people or any company that supports their ideas or agenda are fully boycotted by me if possible. Unfortunately, my hypocrisy is evident when I’m forced to buy product that is
Made in China!
Call me racist!
Call me homophobic and xenophobic!
Call me anything that you choose!
Call me out...I have a pocket full of ‘fuck you’s’ just waiting for your call. Which color would you like...purple, red, yellow, green, blue...one for him and one for YOU!
I’m not letting the Republicans off the hook!
They are just as disgusting as well.
Fox News anchors sitting there wearing a cross around their neck and speaking of bombs, planes and other military needs for Ukraine!
Christian? lol yeah, sure you are!
this endless need to divide people up by their categories in order to decide who gets pushed to the front of the representation line is a cancer on our lives.
divide people up by race & sex & preferences to decide who is good, who is bad, who deserves sympathy, who deserves contempt.
it can only lead to endlessly escalating resentment, a series of cliffs you keep falling off of as each subdivided group says 'where's my share?' 'where's my sympathy?' 'people are mean to me too? where's my representation?'

Notice how when we hear about a racist incident happening we automatically think black people are the victim before we have any details? Or when there is a cast of all white people in a movie, people ask why aren't there black people in it while totally not even bringing uptthe lack of Asians, Hispanics etc.

It's business... When this CEO does this, millions of morons will think "I'm going to save humanity" and subscribe to Disney+
If you don't go along this shit, you'll be hash-tagged boycotted.
I'm just glad I have no part of this society. Another reason I prefer movies/music/etc from the 1930-70s... I feel bad for all the people who seem to encounter this political correctness shit every where they turn.
i still find lots to enjoy in the small scale independent world, but almost all things outside of that are marred by this pandering hyper-woke hectoring tone that i truly cannot handle.
maybe i'm old and tired and out of it - it happens to everyone eventually, right? - but i feel like everything pushed out by major studios is fine tuned to make my head explode.
these are the ones i've enjoyed the most - i know you've seen at least some of them - a few were recommendations from you, i believe...
hotel poseidon
toys are not for children (1972) - have you seen this? it's got some craaaazzy stuff in it.
heroic purgatory

mill of the stone women

its fucked up how much gay sjw bullshit the mainstream media is pushing. these people need to go to jail for promoting the degeneration of our once great nation
MOVEMENT?...LIKE TAKING A SHIT?...IF THIS IS A MOVEMENT,IT'S THE MOVEMENT TO GO BACKWARDS IN TIME TO WHEN "THINGS WERE BETTER...WOMEN,NON WHITES AND QUEERS KNEW THEIR PLACE....FUCK YOUR MOVEMENT....I'M ONTO YOU...YOU ARE A CLOSET DICKHEAD.
Exactly. I support the concept of gay people, but for an executive to come out and say they're purposely going to make something 50% gay/trans (which is actually overrepresentation) they are not doing anything that is benefiting the story. Imagine you're gay and get hired to play character in a Disney film. You're going to feel like the only reason you got the job was to fulfil their quota.
TO BE FAIR THE 50% IN QUESTION COUNTS ALL LGBTQWHATEVERS AND ALL RACIAL MINORITIES IN ITS 50%.
HONESTLY THOUGH...I DON'T CARE EITHER WAY...A LOT OF WHAT I LIKE THESE DAYS FEATURES ACTORS REPRSENTING TYPES OF PEOPLE I WOULDN'T HAVE SEEN MUCH OF 20 YEARS AGO...I DO NOT THINK THIS PARTICULAR WOMAN WHO MADE THE STATEMENT SOUNDS VERY SANE OR SMART HOWEVER.
I just watched a Hallmark movie that had a few disabled character, mostly in the background. You are correct. That is a very underrepresented portion of society. I've been rewatching Highway to Heaven and they had James Troesh in 8 episodes and he was a quadriplegic, and they were discussing hardships for disabled people being recognized as regular members of society, so it's not like that's anything new or woke.
To me, what Disney is doing is a sad attempt to be inclusive because they know it should have happened organically years ago. Now they go out of their way to publicly state it so people think that Disney has always been some inclusive club.
I would have given them more credit for having gay/minority characters in their movies (without giving a %) and not even bringing up what they were doing.
I've always had an issue with things like that. Like for instance I've always preferred coke to pepsi. Has nothing to do with taste. I like them both equally for different reasons, but I absolutely hated the advertising in the 90s with the Pepsi taste challenge. Tell me why you are good without putting down your competition.
Now I know that's not the same thing, but it's like, just change your programming, you don't have to tell me all the little things you are doing to be more inclusive. Just be more inclusive.
Now I am not sure in this story if Disney released this video themselves, or if it was leaked by someone at the meeting, I do think it's sad that we live in a world where we actually have to plan our diversity instead of just being diverse.
I want a government and an opposition who will talk about policies and how they would do things differently from each other working towards the same goal. I don't want to hear "oh this is leftist policy', or 'right wing propaganda'. I don't give a shit. I want polices that will help the people, I don't care which party puts forth those policies.
I have no issues with them getting rid of Ladies, and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls. That doesn't bother me in the least.
I didn't watch the video, but they did say half of future characters to be LGBTQIA or racial minorities. So they aren't saying that half of the characters will be gay, just that they won't be they typical white, straight character.
Considering that whites are only 60% of the population in the US, it's not too far off the mark. Everyone knows at least one gay person, so I don't see an issue having a gay character in a movie.
I do wish it was more organic and not forced. Also not announced. It would be great if they could just release more movies like Encanto and not have to pat themselves on the back for being so "diverse".

What I said:
And people still think forced diversity doesn't exist.
I don't mean to interpret Kowalski, but I think he was referring to this comment of yours
say they're purposely going to make something 50% gay/trans (which is actually overrepresentation) they are not doing anything that is benefiting the story.
I think that the OP has a misleading title, because they didn't say over 50% gay.

exactly.
it's pandering, pure and simple.
i think it's pathetic. it's almost the equivalent of the kid in elementary school who'd eat bugs or stick a dime up his nose for attention.
(i may or may not have been one of those kids. but i still get to condemn woke corporations who put out this pandering nonsense).
