We were still making forward progress during those decades. Sometime between 2000 and 2010 we reached our peak, and things have been regressing ever since.

The entire video store experience of the 80’s-90’s was most excellent. Club music of the late 80’s-mid 90’s was absolutely amazing. Just the fact that there were no iPhones around then makes it a better time.

Don't be fooled by nostalgia-tinted glasses. There were good points and low points of the 80s, as there are with every era, but the best time to be alive is right now. Time always makes the past seem better than right now, but then you look back and think, man I didn't realize how good I had it back then. Right now is going to become your back then.
