These phone zombies think that they are so-o-o smart because they can give you a list of ten countries. Wrong. A smart person can name ten countries (and more) without the use of some ridiculous gadget. And smart people have more important things to concern themselves with besides the Kardashians or some social media trend.
Now you have some who will believe anything because "I was on my phone and saw this on TikTok." News sources aren't helping matters when they quote Twitter or Wastebook in their articles. Remember the false reports of the death of Tony Dow from Leave It to Beaver? The "news" sites had received the information from Dow's own Wastebook page.
Civilization continues its decline.
It's going to get to the point where no one is going to need to know anything... just look it up!
shareI'm amazed I used to have a handful of friend's phone numbers memorized and it wasn't some impressive feat.
These days I could call a person multiple times every day and have no idea what their phone number is.
I still remember quite a few numbers from people I spoke to often in the 90s, but I can't remember a single number of anyone I met post-2010.

It pains me to say that I pretty much agree with you. I would say that they can get emergency medical assistance, but they would be at the bottom on the triage ladder.
shareI'm ashamed to admit I would prefer harm come to anybody... but, this... I mean people make these decisions assuming SOMETHING will bail them out of it: insurance, medicine, etc... they can get away with it. That needs to not happen, we need to stop protecting "stupid", and allow the natural selection of them offing themselves to exist, so, in the future, they don't breed more stupids.

shareMovies are fiction, and people should be able to differentiate between fantasy and reality. It's okay to enjoy movies like Fast & Furious but it's not okay to make noise, be a nuisance or create a dangerous situation in a residential area (or any area, for that matter). This is more of the "look at me" attitude, which is self-centeredness and lack of consideration for others. A car is a means of transportation and there is no reason to be loudly revving the engines or making the tires squeal. This is immature. Grow up, people.
The big problem with the TikTok rubbish is that these are everyday "real" people, not actors, spreading this stupidity. This can make it appear more real or believable to people who can't think for themselves. Anyone can access the site, whether they are responsible individuals or not. That's what makes it so dangerous.

shareFrom what I've read, it doesn't. I don't think anyone is doing it for a "high," which most of the time would be the goal. And it makes the chicken inedible. It serves no purpose (getting high isn't a legitimate reason anyway) plus it's wasting food and medicine. Breathing the stuff while cooking it can cause lung damage because the heat causes the ingredients in the medication to concentrate.
It's totally pointless and I can't understand why this would be trending, except for the fact that it's stupid and stupid sells.
