Films you'll probably never see!

Barbie

reply

Mission: Impossible - Generic Subtitle, Part 17

I would never have guessed how well Barbie is doing. It really took off. I'm not rushing to the theater, but curiosity will get the better of me eventually, once it is streaming.

reply

Lol I've not seen any Mission Impossible films either.

I've got nothing against Barbie, I might have even owned one once, but I think I really wanted a Sindy doll! I liked her cameos in the Shrek films but have no interest in a whole Barbie film.

reply

I HAVE SEEN ALL THE MISSION IMPOSSIBLE FILMS...I OWN THEM ON BLU-RAY TOO...BUT I HAVE NO DESIRE TO REVISIT THEM.🫤

reply

The only one I constantly rewatch (whenever it's on tv) is the fourth one, Ghost Protocol.

The best one in the franchise, In my opinion

reply

It was a favorite television series when I was young and I have revisited it from time to time. Have always loved that catchy intro. I played the bongos for a while back then, before moving on to a real set of drums. 😁 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wwpXUn2dF5c

Barbie
Most Tom Cruise movies post Tropic Thunder
Ryan Goosling movies
"Live-Action" Disney Movie remakes.

reply

I don't see the point of those Disney remakes either.

reply

There's one film I can guarantee none of us here will ever see:
100 Years (2115)
Directed by Robert Rodriguez; written by and starring John Malkovich.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/100_Years_(film)
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5174640/?ref_=nm_flmg_unrel_2_act

reply

I plan to get frozen just so I can see it.

What now eh!?

reply

Ha! I will be...extremely old by then 🤣

reply

WOW my first reaction was; how egomaniacal of Rodriguez and Malkovich to make sure they're still being talked about in a hundred years.

But now I've read the Wiki page and see they didn't even know it was going to be locked away, and it was at the behest of the producers.

Very clever marketing ploy.

reply

Cats (2019)

reply

GOOD CALL.

reply

allaby is the only person who liked it.

reply

ALI HATED IT...AND SHE LIKES A LOT OF QUESTIONABLE CONTENT.

reply

Otherwise known as "The Allaby Movie"

reply

YEAH...HE MIGHT ACTUALLY BE THAT "MOVIES" ONLY FAN.

reply

I've heard that there are lots of cats who enjoy the movie Cats.

reply

MY CATS WON'T BE AMONGST THEM...THAT SHIT IS NEVER SPINNING IN MY LIBRARY.🙂

reply

I've secretly invited them to a special all cat showing of the movie.

reply

I DON'T KNOW...THEY LIKE COOL SHIT...LIKE THEIR DAD...DON'T BE SURPRISED IF THEY RIOT.

reply

Good grief, that looks awful.

reply

i am not fan of the musical genre.

reply

Nice to see you back here, Dazed. I missed you.

reply

Good to see you too db, I actually thought of you recently when I watched a documentary about DB Cooper! I had no idea who he was back in the early days of MC.

reply

My moniker is loosely based on that story. I was also watching a documentary about it when I simultaneously discovered this site, was anxious and impatient to join and came up with that impromptu submission.

reply

KOWALSKI™️ WAS ALSO AN IMPROMPTU SUBMISSION...MY FIRST CHOICE NAME WAS BANNED AND I WAS SPITBALLING FOR A REPLACEMENT...I USE KOWALSKI ON EVERY PLATFORM NOW...IT HAS BECOME A PART OF ME.

reply

That's a good way to get hacked, using the same moniker on multiple sites. Seriously though, the character of Kowalski in Vanishing Point captured my imagination during my rebellious teen years.

reply

ME TOO...I JUST HAPPENED TO BE REWATCHING IT WHEN I WAS REJOINING.

reply

Deja-vu, synchronicity, lol!

reply

HI...I'M DB'S PAL... KOWALSKI™️...DON'T BELIEVE ANYTHING YOU HEAR...I AM SUPER DUPER AWESOME.😉

reply

I haven't heard a thing! 😉

reply

I've only ever seen the first Fast and Furious movie but after that I don't care.

reply

I had also just seen the first and I thought the same thins as you until I saw Fast Five on tV. It was actually a good action movie. Then I saw the 6th one and it was enough to convince me to buy the entire franchise. I don’t know when I’ll get through it though.

reply

BIG...LOUD...DUMB...AND ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKINGLY AWESOME.

reply

I've never seen a single second of Fast and Furious film.

reply

Yeah, you also never saw any Mission Impossible movie either so I’m not surprised.

reply

I'm not really into action films. I did, however used to watch Mission Impossible as a kid!
This tape will self destruct...

reply

I saw every single F&F movie in theaters up until, and including, Hobbes and Shaw....haven't seen any of them since, neither in theaters nor DVD/Streaming.

Don't really feel like it either.

reply

ME TOO...EXCEPT I STOPPED WITH THE THEATER PRIOR TO HOBBS & SHAW...I OWN THEM ALL ON BLU-RAY THOUGH...I AM JUST NOT VERY EXCITED FOR THE NEW INSTALLMENTS THOUGH.

reply

Avatar and it's sequel (plus future installments).

I've never seen them and don't really feel like checking them out.

reply

A Serbian movie.

reply

Reading about it was bad enough. I've no idea why anyone would want to watch it.
The Human Centipede too 🤮

reply

Re: The Human Centipede, same here. I couldn't finish it during the first attempt. The only thing that motivated me the second time was curiosity, a driving quality in my life.

reply

You have to wonder what was going though the head of the person who thought of that!

reply

Absolutely! It makes me think of a catchphrase from decades ago when I was younger, "Stop the world. I want to get off!"

This thread of yours has generated some good feedback, Dazed. It means we want more of your presence here. 😊

reply

Aw that's nice, thanks db.😊

reply

I still find myself chuckling while remembering you referring to croft as "the village idiot" in a matter of fact manner one morning, in the early days of MC. I almost choked on my coffee that day, trying to contain my laughter. 😁

reply

Oh god poor Croft! I mean it was true 🤣
We did have some laughs in those early days.
Do you remember Arvin? Then there was napsdufroid too.

reply

Yes, I remember Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle Arvin. And of course our resident, intrepid troll hunter, napsdufroid! 😆

reply

I saw Avatar and found it predicable, I've no intention of watching another.

reply

I’ve never had any interest in seeing Avatar.

reply

AVATAR IS PULP SCI-FI...IT'S PRETTY AND LIGHTWEIGHT...ENTERTAINING IN A NON LIFE CHANGING WAY.

reply

Most Oscar winners for best picture. Too much drama or melodrama for me.

reply

have you seen schindler's list?

reply

no. I haven't seen Titanic, Avatar, Inception, Braveheart, No Country for Old Men, La la Land etc...

reply

what about:

gone with the wind
casablanca
breakfast at tiffany's

reply

yes
a tiny bit
a tiny bit.

reply

MIDNIGHT COWBOY IS THE BEST PICTURE WINNER OF 1969...I KNOW YOU HAVE SEEN THAT ONE...RIGHT?

reply

Seen it, love it.

reply

No Country for Old Men is action packed! it's not an oscar winner snoozefest.

reply

Not only that, it's unique in that we've never seen a villain quite like Anton Chigurh before.

reply

I haven't seen Titanic, Braveheart or La la land either. I wish I hadn't seen Inception but I liked No Country for Old Men...sort of.

Another one that left me cold was Lost in Translation, nothing happened at all.
