Knew he lost it..

… when he met with Keith Ranieri, the NXIUM cult leader. Maybe it’s time for retirement, and a new Dalai Lama? When spiritual leaders show human flaws, vice, and weaknesses, they kind of lose their cred.

I don't think even Keith Raniere touched kids.

According to daily mail there were also a lot of other questionable dealings of The Dalai Lama and people worked for him: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5230067/Dalai-Lamas-1-MILLION-women-branding-sex-cult.html

But he can't retire, The Dalai Lama is immortal, when he dies he will re-born as another man, he has lived 14 lifetimes, at least according to his religion, which is a bit self serving and cult like to my taste.

From what I understand mainstream Buddhism is not like that, Tibetan Buddhism is more of a niche targeting wealthy and powerful people wishing to live forever.

Well to prevent future reincarnations of evil, he must be put into cryogenic sleep.

But real cryogenic sleep, we don't want that nasty soul coming back.

From what I understand in ancient Tibet The Dalai Lama was also greatly feared. How can you rebel against an immortal ruler who can't be killed?

I think there would probably have been a lot more revolts if they had this technology from future.
