1) Liberals loved the idea of Barack in office, so she benefits from this, and
2) As FLOTUS, she earned celebrity status
To my knowledge, she has pretty much zero experience in public office (apart from FLOTUS duties), and her ideas seem to be pretty bad. So other than the superficial aspects that she presents, she would be a bad candidate. Nevertheless, her name is constantly floated when a Biden replacement candidate is discussed.
