Let's look at the other option.
Ukraine continues to fight, losing more and more people and suffering the destruction of their infrastructure. Western nations pour more and more billions of dollars into a losing battle until they are finally dragged into fighting WW3 against Russia.
Pope's option seems far more rational.
If people and countries would listen to such idiots then everyone would give up to hitler in 1941 and now whole Europe and other world would be under nazi Germany occupation. Including USA. Because hitler would never stop. Once he would be done with Europe - he would attack USA.
But thankfully no one listened to those kind on idiots back then and fought for their freedom.
It's astonishing that even after 2 years there are so many stupid people who don't understand that if Ukraine will loose - nazi russia will start invading other countries. And it will still end up in WW3. When hitler attacked Poland - many idiots ignored it, thinking he will stop once getting Poland. There were like: "OMG! Why are there german soldiers in their town at their doors, raping them and killing".

The situation in Ukraine is very different. Russia has been dominant over Ukraine for most of modern history. Most people around the world were unaware that Ukraine was even separate from Russia until recently. This is the international equivalent of a family quarrel.

Dumping billions and billions of American dollars into an unwinnable war is not a good strategy. Neither is getting the whole world pulled into a potentially nuclear war.
Ukraine seems to have a penchant for making dramatic statements about how Putin plans to steamroller over all of Europe, but the reality shows us different.

Situation is literally the same. putin is cheap parody on hitler. nazi russia is very cheap parody on nazi Germany. They literally copy everything hiter did step by step.

He is rightfully cancelled. He is unworthy and should step aside and let more worthy person to be elected as new Pope. And he can relocate to russia to live on pension with her owners. This is not the first time he outs himself as nazi and terrorist supporter.
No one forced him to say this. But he did because his russian owners ordered him. This is embarrassing. He is the most scandalous Pope in many decades. He keeps saying and doing scandalous shit. Then tried to say his words and actions were not interpreted right when there is backlash.
I encourage you not to rely on the pontiff for strategic warfare and geopolitical recommendations.
