How old were you when you first watched The Toxic Avenger?

I was 3 and a half.

I ask this question because I was reading that fake "Should I let my 7 year old...." Blah blah and all that. Anyway, I was surprised at so many people saying "NO don't let a seven year old watch this!" Because like I said. I was 3 and a half and didn't hurt me in any way. No Nightmares. No Tromaton urges to clean up the criminal society with a mop (However, that would be fun.) I mean I watched a multitude of "Grown-up movies" when I was 3,4,5 and on ward. Robocop, Jaws, Nightmare on elm street were all introduced to me when I was three. Loved them all to this day. I guess I just don't get why kids can't watch the movie.

Never messed me up.

Well, I suppose it did make me a fan of Troma movies so maybe it did hurt me in the long run.

the kid on the bike scene disturbs me now. think i was 13 when i 1st saw "toxic avenger"

I was about 6 years old on the 1st grade at school when I first saw The Toxic Avenger :) My friend had a big brother who showed it to us. I'm pretty sure it was the Finnish cutted VHS version though. I also had some Toxic Crusaders figures. Later my mom rented me a Toxic avenger III tape. I remember watching it and my mom telling me when she saw what kind of movie it was, that she doesn't like me watching it :D She still let me watch it anyway and my dad copied the tape for me. Later I borrowed the tape for some *beep* kid at school who never returned it :/ I'm 29 years old now.

I was 18; it was the night before this past Thanksgiving, actually. I was looking through the upcoming movies on Epix and it sounded interesting, so I watched it and wondered where it had been all of my life. Got it on DVD and showed it to my friends a month later.
