My late husband and I were real fans of bad movies. You know, the stinkers that were so bad they were good. We laughed our way through this one every time we watched it.

To each their own. I think this is a classic 80s adventure film with one of the coolest/funniest lead performances of all time with Kilmer as Madmartigan (or is it "Mad" Martigan lol), and Joanne Whalley's Sorsha is still one of the most beautiful things I've seen in a film.

I VERY MUCH AGREE WITH YOU....IT'S BEEN OVER 30 YEARS SINCE I FIRST ENJOYED WILLOW AND IT STILL MAKES ME SMILE WATCHING IT....MADMARTIGAN IS EASILY MY FAVORITE KILMER ROLE EVER.

Best not to. I think Disney yeeted it from their platform so they don't have to pay royalties. It had all the pieces to be good but it was overproduced & soulless. Typical of the modern day practice known as IP mining.

There are a few but not much. Krull was another awesome film from that era!

Haven't seen Krull but I can't think of too many recent films done in the style of Willow apart from the LOTR films (which Lucas was clearly inspired by). It seems to be a lost art.

I wouldn't put this in the so bad it's good category of movies. It's not brilliant but it's one of those fun silly movies from the 80's and with an IMDB rating of 7.2, you must feel that is way too high if you consider this a bad movie? The theme tune is actually quite epic as well.

I agree, I loved and still love the theme song from the movie. It feels epic and fun! High Adventure!

This movie had so many funny moments as well. It is entertaining still : )
