Definately, without question it's Fire Marshall Bill. "LET ME SHOW YOU SOMETHIN! Let's say you're standing in a pool of gasoline, and you want to light up.....BOOM!"

What would Jesus Do for a Klondike bar?

reply

The "MC Hammer-Can't Touch This" parody was awesome.

reply

the skit when the guy's having problems getting noticed, and someone gives him some kind of product and then everyone started paying attention to him cause he was black.

reply

Oh my god i remember that skit...after using that product he became a black guy with a fro.The secretary said sumthing.."u look different..u look more MANLY" Hahaha..cracks me up everytime i think about it!

reply

Well, I liked the standard favorites like Homey and Fire Marshall Bill, but the one skit that comes to mind that was not a regular character was the one where Jim Carrey was in line at the fast food restaurant and was constantly looking for a reason to let people know that he was gay. He would always say, "That's because I'M GAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY!" LOL

Oh, and I also liked the Tommy Davidson character that always screwed up his job on the first day and acted like he wasn't at fault. "So the supervisor said, 'Let's take a walk.'"

"When you want something you've never had, you've got to do something you've never done."

One of my favorite sketches is anything with "the B.S. Brothers" of Funky Finger Productions in it.
Clavell "I seem to have misplaced my buisness card"
Howard Tibbs 3rd "BAM

I crack up for hours just watching the videos that they make.

What, no Head Detective?

Some of my favorites:

"That's not a love bite, that's a bullet wound."

Or how about about when David Allen Greer's character and his girfriend are trying to set up his friend and Wanda in the restraunt? His friend makes this retarded face and it's all they can do to not bust up laughing.

"Homey don't play dat game".

OR how about the Bram Stoker's Dracula spoof where Jim Carrey was Drac and Wanda was his more than willing victim?

OR the Basic Instinct spoof where Wanda ties up the guy while he's blindfolded and when sees her he takes off and takes the headboard with him?

That show was one of a kind.

This was comedy at it's best. I like it better then MAD TV and SNL because this show was actually funny and it had a really good cast too.
Somebody mentioned it early, one of my favorite sketches is when Jim appears in the background of a murder site and the reporter is interviewing the police officer. He starts doing all these crazy stunts, like balancing cups and glasses on a stick that are really glued together. Then he gets a stretcher and rolls it as if it were a canoe. And then he starts pulling some wird Houdini stuff and levitates the dead body on the floor. LOL. Funny stuff.
My other favorite one is where they imitate Michael Jackson's "Black or White" video, done by Tommy Davidson. There's one take where the wind is blowing so hard that it makes him fall, mess up his singing, and go land by a thrashcan. Then the officer comes and Mike asks: "Tell me officer, am I black or or am I white?"
The officer arrests him and Mike says: "I must be black then".
Awesome show!

The West side Story skit

In Living Color's amazing.I didn't notice anyone mentioning the Three Champs and a baby one, hilarious. Jim Carrey's background guy and Veera DeMillo were great. Also liked Homeboy Shopping Network,Funky Finger Productions, Homey D. Clown,Disfunctional Homes Show,Dirty Dozen and many more.

Also, I didn't see anybody mention David Allan Grier's charecter when he was the old singer who all those really short song about random crap.
"In fact Iwrote a song about it. Like to hear it here it goes."

reply

what season did Carrey do the Vanilla Ice skit, i swore it was in the 2nd season and finally got around to buy it, and i haven't seen it. and it Can't be on the 1st one cause Vanilla wasn't popular until the fall of 1990.

reply

Yeah that Vanilla Ice parody was in Season 2 and I wonder what made them leave that out of the disc?

The Men On Film skits had me laughing the most outta any other one. Especially the one where Blane is straight and Tony hit's him in the head with a rock and it turns him Gay again. "I'M FREE" "I'M FREE" is what Blane said after he turned gay again, funny *beep* indeed.

reply

Definately "The Dirty Dozens." Some of the jokes they came up with on that sketch had me laughing for an hour. Some of them still make me laugh after all these years.

reply

the first skit I thought of was the one with the mom who wouldn't get off the phone. She's talking to her friend and keeps saying "mmmhmmm, well, THAT just proves my point!'" and ignores her family. Then her kids go to school and these robbers break in and she just keeps talking on the phone! It was HYSTERICAL!! Also I love Vera DeMilo in The Hand that Rocks the Cradle, Jim is so funny!!!

reply

My favorites are: Pernell the Nerd (Jim Carrey), FireMarshall Bill, Wanda, Homey The Clown, Mr. Mackafee, and when Tommy Davidson plays the kitchen chef and replies " pick it up, we aint got no more meatloaf, who said spitup, clean it up". Funny as hell.

reply

Can't believe nobody mentioned Chris Rock guest-starring. I haven't seen this show since about 97-98 when it aired at night on FX, but I clearly remember him doing the poor guy who was always like, "GOOOOD LORD! Thats a lotta money."
I was actually allowed to watch this during its original airing after Simpsons back in the day...and from now on at dinner my mom will say "DON'T YA LIKE RICE?!!" Hilarious. Or when he was at the Convenient Store and Tommy Davidson played an Indian cashier.

Another great skit was the Fire Marshall Bill one where Jim Carrey had this "Power Wheels" car (remember those?) and he crashed through this guy's living room wall. Then blew up their house with a grenade.

Antwan Jackson at the military recruiting office is another favorite, as well as Jim Carrey as the karate instructor who got beat up by women.

This show is timeless!

How about the one where jim carrey plays Rocky. Then Kim Wayans is dragging him across the floor and he just yells " ADRIAN, ADRIAN" I love that one

reply

Most of my favorites have already been mentioned, but another one is the Wanda sketches, with Jamie Foxx playing an U.G.L.Y. woman, scaring the crap out of every guy "she" meets. Jamie Foxx's impression of Prince and Little Richard were hillarious. "If Elvis is the King of Rock and Roll, what does that make me? .... Shut up"

Funky Finger Productions - The skit (I think the first time they did it) where they wanted to make a sequel to "Pretty Woman" called "Stank Ho". LMAO.

Three Champs and a baby - Muhammad Ali was basically brain dead in the skit. When the baby is delivered at the door he says this line, "That baby got pepperoni on it?". I was in tears.

I loved the whole show but my favorites had to be anything which included Damon Wayans. The Head Detective, HandiMan, Homey the Clown and of course Men on Film, travel, sports . . . .

Never underestimate the power of the handicapped.

reply

Some of my favorite sketches includes...

The 'Do The Right Thing' parody when Jim Carey was playing the Radio Raheem parody character (as a white guy) with the tiny radio blasting LOUD music,a nd then asking Spike Lee (Tommy Davidson) why there were no white people on the walls

The Fire Marshall Bill skits

Homey D. Clown, Head Detective, and The Homeless Guy

The episode where Damon Waynes was the last of a family of run away slaves living in a cave and he emerges in modern day. The scene where he tells David Allen Grier "Stop eyeballin that white woman!" where they both broke character and laughed was great

And of course Men on Films.I definately intend to purchase all of the seasons on DVD. Of course it's weird there were only 4 seasons, it felt like it went ALOT longer.

reply

When Keenan would do his impression of Arsenio Hall. "We're going to party all the time Eddie!"

Also Jim Carey as the environmental activist. There was one scene where he had a football and he let all the air out of it and was saying "Free the air!".

And when Keenan was dressed like Marsha Warfield.

I thought the David Alan Grier skits where he played the guitar and would say "got a song 'bout it, like to hear it, hear it go".. lol- that was some funny stuff.

Also, Jim Carreys impression of the love connection guy was so hilarious and spot on. classic stuff.

This show was and is far better than SNL and MAd TV or any sketch comedy show that ever existed.

reply

My favorite was Carl "The Tooth" Williams. Cause the Tooth with set you free. When Jamie Foxx played that character... Nuff Said!!!

reply

I loved it whenever Kim Wayans played Grace Jones, jumping through windows, ordering raw alligator at a nice restaurant and yelling "Do you find me sexEEEEE?"

Also loved Kelly Coffield and Jim Carrey doing the bad kid and the nerd.

reply

i like the whole show, but some of the scenes that stand out are the men on film, books, whatever, "hated it!!", homey da clown, the jamican family that had like 27 jobs at once (they were always funny), fire marshall bill, and also when jim carrey played that manly woman, damon playin antwon da homeless man, and david alla grier playin da old man singer "like 2 hear it, here it go!!"

reply

My favourite sketch is, without a doubt, Jim Carrey as Charles Bronson in the "Death Wish" parody.

reply

I absolutley love Home The clown. He was hilarious. ALso "Men On...." was very funny and so was thr ugly girl skit with Wanda. I also enjoyed Vera Demlo, Frebchie, B.S Brothers, Oswald BAtes, and those siamese twins with Damon and Keenan Wayans.

Homey the clown, don't mess around. Even though the man, try to put him down.

reply

My favorite skit was when Alexandra Wentworth played the wife of guest star Sam Kinnison.

reply

I think you mean Kelly Coffield. Thats one of my favorites too.

reply

I liked the Tommy Davidson spoof of Michael Jackson's Black or White video.

I'm so ugly...that's ok 'cause so are you.
