I'm not sure if this is the best South Park episode (although it certainly must be up there) but I think it perhaps, literally, represents the show hitting full maturity.

It had already moved on from the early season base humour but this was dark, dark stuff. And definitely an episode you remember long after the others have kind of blended into the same thing or the later day specials we have now...

its also turned from actually funny series to 100% propoganda mode. like how they promoted vaccines in their covid special and said that anyone who oppose to them is a lunatic

I love South Park and always will but it's true that the show has become overwhelmingly preachy in a Bill Maher esque "we're not being political this is just common sense" condescending fashion.

I'm sure there's a connection there with it not being as funny anymore as well.

The Randy story in that episode was great.
