I know I am going to be badmouthed, but I miss Samurai Jack.

I have read the posts about Jack being a ripoff of one thing or another - I don't care.

I have read that Jack can be horrible because it has long scenes with no dialouge to build drama and tension - I don't care

I have even read that jack isn't a samurai - I don't care

The only thing that matters to me is something special and unique has been lost from the programming of cartoon network. To me, this show was a thought provoking and drama enriched series that dealt not only with the story of good vs. evil, but also was a metaphor for the struggles we all face in life. Remember the episode of the viking trapped in stone, or Jack and the Lava Monster, that Jack saved, or maybe the episode where Jack fought and defeated the super powerful androids, or Jack and the Ultra Bots, that Jack shouldn't of stood a chance against. The stories, and many others like it, were tales that touched the heart strings, to believe that humans can accomplish miracles if they only try. I know it is merely a show, but if a man can make animation so poignant, then I can only hope that he keeps going.

Thats why I would like to start this petition.

I doubt the Mr. Genndy Tartakovsky will ever read it, but If anyone, besides myself, want to keep the hope of this show returning, add your voice to mine. Maybe one day it will reach someone that matters, maybe it won't. However, if you add your name to the list, you can hold a torch for the hope it will return, to show that we miss it, and we want it to return.

I have had my say

I Want jacl back i loved that show and always waited for it to air in the middle of the night until it stoped running.

I would love to see it back even if it was just re runs until they made new ones.

I captivated all my sences, hearing, seeing, smelling even tasting.

I made me become like a camera man that followed jack in his world and was with him all the time.

Plus its great when i was stoned lol.

Jack is the BEST thing to watch while stoned lol.

But trust me you dont need to be stoned because watching jack puts your mind into a different world altogether.

I miss Jack, WE WANT HIM BACK!

I thought they were bringing this series back? I don't know. In fact, the only thing I do know is that if they don't bring Samurai Jack, I will drown in my own sad tears.

At least they should make a movie to end the story like they did with farscape.

reply

They are. It's in preproduction.

reply

Count me in.
How they could drop a series of such quality...I mean, it just defies belief.

reply

Please for the love of peanut butter and chocolate bring this show back. I'm not sure how they would handle Mako's absence, he's got a very defining voice. Still, this show needs to go on. How do you ignore the Emmy's for frakk's sake?

You want more mysterious? I'll just try and think, "Where the hell's the whiskey?"

I watch very few of the cartoons on cn.com but have been missing this excellent series for several years now. Strongly support bringing Jack back to network tv--I could watch all the episodes again.

reply

I completely agree with you, I followed this show when I was a kid, I remember wanting to get home and watch it. BRING JACK BACK! Was probably the best cartoon show I have EVER seen.

reply

I really think that Samurai Jack was the best thing that Cartoon Network has ever done. They should bring it back, or at least make sure the movie survives so the fans can have some closure.

I'm with you! Bring Jack back please!
