What's your real life romance story?

I am just wondering how people's love of romance films translate to their beliefs of real life love. Please elaborate on the following questions as much as you'd like...

1) If you could pick one film/couple and make it your real life romance story, what would it be and why?

2) Do you believe in love at first sight? Soul mates? Why?

3) Why do you enjoy watching romance films? Why do they have that 'feel good' factor?

4) Would you ever settle for anything less than head over heels in love in a relationship/ marriage?

5) Can love conquer anything? Why/Why not?

I'd really love to hear what everyone thinks!

1) Moulin Rouge. I love how their romance develops, just two struggling people finding love despite their challenges of their situations, and I love that the female died knowing she is deeply loved and she died first. My biggest nightmare is my love one dying first, I don't think I can handle it.

2) Yes, your soul detects your mate immediately. I believe there is more than one soul mate for you though. But every man I have fallen inlove with, it's from first sight. I may not realise it at first sight, but later when reflecting back, you realise, there is already something different, and special from first sight. Maybe sight is not the correct word, but at first meet.

3) I only enjoy romantic films with happy ending. I HATED the Notebook! Who doesn't like watching people live happily ever after together?

4) I would settle for any man who treats me as well as I want to be treated. I think the most important thing in a relationship is how he treats you. Men can claim to love you but their actions can contradict their words.

5) If there is mutual love between both parties, of course it can conquer anything. Most of the time, if it does not conquer, the love is not mutual. Sometimes, one party may love the other more. That means, one is not willing to work as hard as the other to overcome the obstacles.
