Anyone find this gross? A 26-year-old and a 16-year-old?

Nineteen year olde date eighty year olds in real life. Wats your point?

They are actors! In the Phantom of the Opera (the dumb remake) the girl was only 14 kissing the phantom. They have a contract and she probably had her mom or dad on set. I've shot a short where a 15 year old was kissing a 20 year old..and her mom was there. That's what people do in the business. Its not big deal.

Kirsten Dunst was only 11 or 12 when she kissed a 29-year-old Brad Pitt in the movie Interview with a Vampire.

yah, it's gross. Although I think Drew's pretty cute and I like Selena I'm glad they only shared one kiss at the end, they really should have casted a younger male. When I heard he was going back to school I thought it meant he was visiting a school he graduated from like 10 years earlier.
My friend was 16 when she got with her 30 something year old boyfriend, it happens all the time and so people accept it, but it's still :|

It's no big deal. Once someone starts puberty, they're biologically no longer a child. Many girls stop growing at 16. Plus, it's only acting. The actor's character in that movie was just a senior in high school.

In ancient times, girls were married off to men who were at least 30 or so. This was mostly because it took that long for a man to get financially and socially established and stable. For example, it is estimated that Mary and Joseph were about 15 and 30 respectively. Just because its not the standard for our culture does not make it over the top or totally out of bounds. May-December romances happen all the time, although both participants are usually a bit older.
