The original Crow movie shouldn't be remade

The original was a product of the time. Brandon Lee's appearance in that movie, his character's rock-star background, and the gothic imagery ... it all aligned with the brooding grunge music scene of the 1990s. Brandon Lee's death, morbidly, also added another layer of awe to the movie.

You just can't recreate the context in which the original movie came out. Best to leave this one alone instead of remaking it

I agree.

You're probably right....

The remake has big shoes to fill, but as long as they focus on translating the graphic novel into a new movie, I think we could wind up with something pretty great. I've talked to Batman fans about the various bat-incarnations over the years and the way it shakes down is that, Burton, Nolan, Reeves, or Snyder, everybody's got a favourite, but we got really lucky with multiple great batman franchises. Cross your fingers: maybe we get a second great movie out of The Crow. Bill Skarsgard is certainly good casting.

Have you been in a cave since 2003?

A batcave.

You are so damn right!

Agreed.

And remakes are 95% shit anyhow.

reply

Well thankfully no one can force us to watch this movie.

I have fond memories of the original and have zero desire to see this and I watch Hallmark movies.
